Hello all. I've been reading for about a year now just never posted. I have a question that I constantly argue with my friend about. Is this a bad trade? Rondo and 2014 1st for Russell Westbrook? I think KD is better off without Westbrook and rondo will facilitate that offense by getting guys like lamb and Ibaka easy looks.

For the celtics, Westbrook is a scorer and someone to build around (I think?) I'm just looking for some opinions.

If its our lottery pick than its a horrible trade for us. And its hard to gauge. I like westbrook more but not by a ton. Probably would just keep the pick and stay with rondo. I agree that rondo would be a better fit on the thunder though.

No I hate this trade. I hate Westbrook. I find something about his aggression annoying; he appears too out of control to me, and far too reliant on a level of athleticism that can only decline. I would far rather a point guard who seeks assists to a fault, than one who tosses up bricks while the best shooter in the game watches, as does the audience, in bereft confusion.

For all his faults Rondo is, as was Pierce before him, a cerebral player who I believe will age well.

I haven't  thought of trade specifics that's just something I thought of quickly. Is there a package that'd be good for us to do?

The Thunder arent trading Westbrook. They chose who they didnt need (Harden). Presti is more loyal than Ainge. He wouldn't even entertain this. You never hear Wesbrook's name in trade rumors.
