Obviously if you're not a fan of Lance that's cool. This thread is more for fellow Lance Stephenson fans to discuss what Danny's options what be if he were to go after him.
It's tough with Uncle Jeff on the roster and I'd love to move his deal before hand.

Anyway, how does Danny go about things with Lance and what kind of deal does he put on an offer sheet. Is $12 million per year too much to gamble at this stage of our rebuild?
I feel other teams will probably go to that amount or perhaps even higher at $13/14 million by four years w/team option in the 5th.

Anyone else want this kid as badly as I do?
Just a tricky season in 2014-15 and I'm trying to work out the best ways we could acquire him.

Green+first round pick+Bogans (for a sign and trade with Indiana before they complete their cap for the year but so they don't go over the cap).

for Lance + player that Indiana wants to move?
Not sure this is possible because Larry might not have any crummy deals he wants gone..

Hit us with your ideas...

Lance (unfortunately for us) isn't going anywhwere.

He and his family idolize Bird, and that loyalty will lead to a hometown discount.

But to answer the post, $10 mil per year/4 years.

Kid's a beast. He was a "man" at 19. 6'6", 225, leaper, 6'11' wingspan.

I love Lance's game and his attitude, but he's kind of on that Rodman tier of great player for me - not someone I'd just arbitrarily plunk onto a team, but someone I'd love to have if our franchise really needed what he offered.

So I don't think I'd especially want him on a team like the C's, which has a roster that doesn't seem to play to his strengths at all.

Another speciality player........great one ....you acquire once you have the ...pair of elite scorers or stars already on your team.

This team needs way too many other people first....he is for a team already completed

Getting the pair of stars , draft, trade or how ever is first crisis and get a decent center is just critical ,  we have no defensive presence under the boards .

Danny's draft pick could answer a lot of questions including Rondos return.

I'd give him the same contract as Jeff Green although Bird would certainly match).

Essentially, what Bradley wants I'd give to Lance to be our 2 guard, allowing Danny to sign and trade Bradley elsewhere for a pick or player.

TP. Lance is a good player to have on a contender (although his taunting antics annoy the heck out of me). He wouldn't help this team.

I predict that there is no dollar amount that Ainge would put on an offer sheet for Lance Stephenson.

I feel confident in my prediction because he will be an unrestricted free agent.

Give him nothing.
He is only played good due to the fact that he is playing on the Pacers. Put him on the Celtics and see him decline very fast. He isnt a "star" player as many of you guys make him.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought he was an RFA for the longest time.

Draft Vonleh and Hairston, pass on Lance.

He is a good player , but no more than a 3rd or 4th best player on a contender .

Plus the guy is a scumbag

Quote
ndiana Pacers draft pick Lance Stephenson allegedly threw his girlfriend, Jasmine Williams, down the stairs and “slammed” her head into the bottom stair because she wouldn’t pick up her phone while she was apparently on a girls’ night out.

A friend of Williams’s dad told the Daily News, “He was calling her cell phone, she wasn’t answering. This wasn’t the first time this happened…The father spoke to [Stephenson's] parents before. They said, ‘We aren’t going to call the cops and mess up his career but this has to stop. Enough is enough.’”

Pass.....
