Perfect solution but it'll never happen.

Imagine the look on James' face after loosing one of the competitions? It would be priceless, but we will never see it cause he doesn't want to put himself in that position.

I would like a one on one or 2 on 2 competition.  Imagine if Durant and Lebron went at it, or 2 legends like KG and Duncan.  A game of horse could be intriguing too with a twist for more style points for degree of difficulty.

I was actually thinking of a 1 on 1 game during yesterdays embarrassment. or 2 on 2.

but again I think it only works if the big stars are involved. no one would want to or care to see phil pressey go against reggie evans.   

As an all-star weekend non-watcher for years, I am not sure what would get me interested.  I think the rising stars game is reasonably interesting, but I can't say that there is anything that would get me to watch the slam-dunk, 3-pt or skill competitions.  In the heyday of the slam-dunk and 3 pt competitions, I was only borderling interested -- so I doubt there is much that could get me into that.

Re: 1 on 1, the risk of injury in competetive 1:1 would probably rule it out, but that is somewhat interesting to me.  Back in the day (70's) they had an NBA 1:1 competion that they showed at half-time during NBA games of the week (that's what I recall anyway).  Seemed to last all season -- must have been filmed in the off-season.  I remember JoJo White always did well.
