I think the Bobcats would be a good trading partner for us. I think Bass, Humphries and Green could all come in and start for them immediately. I would want picks MKG or Biyombo for him but I would settle for Ben Gordon's expiring.

I am curious to see what Dumars does

I wonder if there could be a deal along the lines of Green + Bass (or Humphries) for MKG and Ben Gordon's expiring.

I'd be willing to throw in the LAC 2015 1st if we could get MKG in return.  Forget the first and swap MKG for Biyombo and I think I could get behind that idea, too.
I'd be happy with either of those deals.

MKG and Bradley would bring all kinds of energy to the team. It would hurt our scoring now but long term it would be a great move.

It wouldn't help this team's offensive woes at all, though.

Rondo/Bradley/MKG would drive scoring enthusiasts nuts.

Yeah, well obviously it wouldn't be a move to make the team better right now.  I believe MKG will be a better all around player in the future than Green, though.

I think we're going to have to find an answer to the lack of high-level scorers in the draft this year, or perhaps via trade in the next year or two.

I guess if you make this trade and then end up drafting either Parker or Wiggins, what do you do?

(That operates under the assumption that Embiid is gone)

not so sure about his offense, but his rebounding and defense is already better than Green's from the games I saw him play

Well, I think it certainly lessens any pressure on the team to re-sign Bradley.

I'd say that having both MKG and Wiggins / Parker is a good problem to have.  I think you could get away with playing any of them at the 2 if you had to, or at the 4 in small-ball lineups.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

As always, you go BPA imo.

This also operates under the assumption that Bradley, and even Rondo, are in the teams long-term plans. Which we don't know for sure.

On the trade, I'd be extremely happy if Ainge could pull a Green/Bass for MKG/Gordon deal.

Yeah, under those circumstances, I'd almost certainly let Bradley walk.  Especially given what salary demands the Celtics may be looking at with him.

I agree that it'd be a good problem to have, though.

Start Parker at the 3, MKG at the 2, Rondo at the one. Bradley can come in for either Rondo, MKG or Parker.

This team will need to emphasize scoring in the draft tand in free agency but for now improving our long term talent base has to be the main goal.

Start MKG at the 2 or the 3.... in neither place can he hit the broad side of the barn.

Bradley's the better player. MKG could come off the bench as a defensive pest, for sure.

Are you gonna pay Bradley $7-8 million a year to be a rotation player and not even a starter, though?

In that case, I think you have to let him walk.

I'd pay him around $7 to play the bench. But to be fair him Rondo, MKG and Parker would all split minutes in vary forms. So he would be playing 30-35 minutes anyway, whether he was starting or not.

See I'd worry about paying him that kind of $ to come off the bench given his skill set.

You'd also have to consider having to resign Rondo and the impending MKG extension down the road. You'd be tying up a good chunk of change in the backcourt.  If you have a Parker in the fold, you'd probably wanna keep a slight bearing on that extension although a Bradley deal would be wrapped up by then, I believe.

Yuck.

Paying Bradley anything over the MLE is a mistake imo.

Really hope Ainge doesn't pay him anything like 4/$32mill. That contract would be super tough to move.

Honestly, I don't think it costs Bradley much due to him being restricted. To sign him over the amount the C's would teams would have to overpay which I don't see that happening.

Regardless, three years shouldn't be too long for all those players to develop and cost the C's a lot. If it is then the Celtic's ownership has been willing to go over the tax to put together a good team.
