They have absolutely no offensive spark on this team right now (certainly from a scoring standpoint) and the defense was downright pathetic last night and has been lacking a bit for this recent stretch.

As constituted (possibly by design) they're just not a good basketball team right now.

It's all good, people. This isn't an underperforming contender, such as we've had the last several regular seasons. This team isn't supposed to be that good, and it's by design. Enjoy watching the young guys develop, and look forward to the trade deadline and the draft/offseason. I think this will be a much different team next season.
Last few regular season we were actually an overachieving also-ran... certainly not an underachieving contender.

I disagree.

I am interested in how this team went from overachieving to, if not underachieving, then at least no longer overachieving. As we started trading players away, I imagine some starting looking over their shoulders, at least Bass and Green. It's to be expected. I just want some evidence that their not tuning Brad out.

When a D-leaguer looks like the best player on the team, that is not a a good sign.

As an aside, at the KG and Pierce reunion game, I had 2 Celtics fans from Canada sitting in front of me and 2 Celtics fans from San Francisco sitting next to me. All of them came to Boston just for the game. I thought that was really cool. When I left I said I'll see you back here for the finals in 3 or 4 years.

Maybe a bit optimistic, but I trust Danny to make this transition quicker than most.
