Sorry if this is not the first mention but this goes towards him mental makeup. Right or wrong (there really is no right or wrong in a young man and what HE decides to do)...this is gonna make him NOT be the #1 pick without a doubt. Both of them if this is true have just shot themselves in the foot. From a draft P.O.V If I'm Ainge I see a little of Jeff Green in Parker.
That's a compliment for Green but a terrible insult for Parker.
What exactly do you see that is similar?
Parker is a average to above average athlete who is big and strong for his position, his strengths are creating his own shot for himself off the dribble, his rebounding and his post play.
Green is an uber athletic wing that at first struggled to create his own shot and is now decent at it, he mostly shoots 3's or drives the lane. Hes an above average defender and poor rebounder and play maker.
I don't see the similarities.
Relax.
I was alluding to their mental makeup as I see it. As it's my opinion. The kid is at times considered the #1 pick and it is a big deal to a lot of folks around him. He might not come out? Fine. I think it's a good idea but commit one way or the other. If these reports turn out to be true I wouldn't want Parker on our team. he just scrawled "Bust" on his forehead.
Take your own advice. These stories come out every season and they almost always end with the player declaring. The article on Jabari Parker didn't actually even quote Jabari Parker, so what are you even rambling about?
What do you think a well-adjusted college player is going to say in the middle of the NCAA season while playing for a team with tournament aspirations? "Yeah, I like my teammates here fine but I can't wait to GET PAID." That would be a much bigger red flag than focusing on the task at hand...you know, playing for the team that he currently plays for.
Is there a sincerity font? I meant relax in a relax type way and said nothing after that that indicated otherwise. I'm rambling on? Have you read some of the threads? You prefer daydream hypothetical never gonna happen pie in the sky trade scenarios? I didn't compare their games which was the first time you mistook what I said now you think I'm being ..I dunno?
And yeah if a kid said I wanna get paid and had the game to back it up I wouldn't see that as a red flag. It's not my money and a GM would determine if that kid gets paid like he thinks he should.
I'm hitting the magic ignore switch because arguing about young future millionaires is meh and doing it with folks who take offense to words like "relax" is less than that.
I'm typing this on a sofa in Japan in front of a warm fire with headphones on at 12am. If I relax anymore I'll be sleeping. I'll do that soon anyway.
Take care now.
