I'd say he's one of the top candidates on the Cs to be traded before the deadline. Plenty of teams could use some backcourt insurance for the playoffs.

His salary is about the same as Brooks+Crawford.  I wonder if Golden State wanted Crawford more, or if Danny wanted more for Bayless.

Crawford's the better player.

Maybe through the first half of this year, or perhaps only the first quarter of the year.  Bayless has generally been the better player over his career, and they're the same age.  To me it's not a slam dunk as to which one I'd prefer for the last half of the season.

Bayless is terrible.

I argue that Bayless and Crawford are different flavors of mediocrity.  Neither are terrible.  Prior to this half of a season, Bayless has been the better player.  Even with this terrible year dragging his numbers down, he has a higher career 3-point percentage than Crawford has had in any single season.  He's got a higher career eFG%, TS%, Assist %, and offensive rating.  And again, they're the same age.  If we only looked at this year sure, but if Jerryd Bayless is terrible, then he's as terrible as Jordan Crawford.

Fair. Bayless is terrible -- his next contract will be for less than what he makes now, and he doesn't make that much.

Crawford is considerably less terrible.
