I don't really care if Lee plays or not, but right now I don't like the rotation.

KO needs more minutes, we need to see what this guy can do and if we lose more games because of it good.

Hopefully the lack of minutes for KO is to showcase Bass and Hump. I realize they are both better than him right now, but they are not the future.

It is not a good situation and Courtney Lee is getting the short end of the stick right now.  I will give him a mulligan on these comments.  He played 8 minutes in a loss.  I think he cares about both.  I am not down on Lee over this (if it stops here).

Someone will likely go when Rondo comes back.  It could be Crawford and not Lee.  Things could change.  These are still pretty young people so I think you need to keep talking to them (Coach and GM), be honest and remind them that they are making big money and need to do what the Boss says.

Courtney will hit 5 threes in twenty-five minutes tonight in an upset over the Pacers.  And, everything's going to be fine.

Ainge needs to start moving some of these guys.  This team is pointless.  Fun to watch sometimes,  but pointless.

Oh,  an KO looked horrid yesterday.  Dude had trouble just staying on his feet.

lee can take his ball and go home for all I care. hey lee why don't you continue to stand sideways when you shoot? oh wait, you already do...

see, this is what happens when you're losing. one guy is playing well while others aren't & it becomes about me, me, me...and next thing you know they're going to the media.

stevens needs to get on this quickly.

Fair enough. He is too good a player to be happy with only 17mpg.

17mpg on a bad team, no less.

I don't advocate taking this stuff out on the press, but it sure sounds like it's been discussed at fair length behind closed doors, and he's frustrated. altogether a minor blip on the radar...

I don't understand tha backlash at Lee tho. Lee is normally very quiet and really never has anything bad or negative to say about anything. But that doesn't mean he needs to keep his mouth shut. When you're frustrated you're frustrated and I understand his frustration. I would actually like to see him get more PT. It's not like this is coming from Brooks or Bogans, it's not like Lee was just acquired, and it's definitely not like tha brotha's a scrub.

Wallace expressed his displeasure about team effort on more than one occasion and as much as alot of people here don't like Wallace (and his contract) he was supported. But as soon as Lee - who never has anything to say - express his displeasure about PT, he has to shut his mouth?

I remember Doc not playing Lee much in tha postseason and prior when half our team was on tha injured list. AB was off his game and we were consistently getting scorched by Felton in tha first round. But Doc still kept Lee benched for tha most part. Lee didn't say anything. But Doc caught heat for not playing him.

Now that Lee is finally saying something he's catching heat. It's a bit bassackwards but with tha way our team turned out last season we really didn't have anything to lose and we're still in tha same boat now. This is a non issue for me.

I seen plenty on here that had enough of Wallace complaining to the media and didn't support it. Also, Lee expressing his displeasure this year while not making a peep last yr against Doc can be seen as a respect (or lack of respect issue) especially against a young, rookie coach. No one is saying he shouldn't express his displeasure, but the extent that went and basically saying "Yeah I talked to Brad, but I don't believe what he says" isn't the best way to go.

Just looking at it from a real world situation, we've all been frustrated with our jobs and our boss, but we know the extent to take our frustrations and we know who to talk to and who not to talk to about them...the media isn't the right people to vent playing time to. Nothing good has really come from that type of stuff. I like Lee a lot, but I know he doesn't want a label put on him by the media, which they will be very quick to do.

because people see Lee as a bully who did not confront Rivers but has no problem picking on a rookie coach.

Wallace did not attack CBS he called out his teammates.

The stuff that happens when you have so many players at two positions.

Yep..someone is going to be unhappy

This is too bad considering he is having an efficient season numbers wise. Probably the only downside of this years mostly positives. Would like to see him be the solid 3+D behind bradley when Rondo comes back.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Have the Celtics really been reduced to a team who actually cares what the heck Courtney Lee thinks about playing time?

Either lee or crawford needs to be moved to avoid someone getting alot of DNPs.

Or someone can get injured before Rondo comes back.

There are about 12 rotation worthy players on this team, yet ideally a rotation should only be 9, maybe 10 players deep.  Somebody is going to be left out at times, and there will be guys who get less playing time than they might deserve.

Lee is a decent player, but he doesn't bring much to the table other than scoring, and he's not good enough at that to be a go-to guy on the second unit or anything.

He has no future with this team and he likely knows it, so he's anxious to get out there on the floor and audition for somebody to pick him up and give him starter minutes.

"There are about 12 rotation worthy players on this team"  -  really?  what does rotation worthy mean?  And if we REALLY have 12 rotation worthy players on the team, WHY are we 3 games below .500.

I can understand a great player complaining on a team with a GREAT record for more PT etc.  but when the team is under .500...  please.

The celtics problem is not that we have TOO many good players, the problem is clearly we do not have enough.  Let's build some team chemistry and heart, and complain about that stuff when we have a WINNING record.

When your team wins ALL the games on the schedule, then I could understand a bench player yearning to be traded to a struggling team, where their efforts can make more of   a difference.

RANt done.  bleed green.

Fair enough. He is too good a player to be happy with only 17mpg.
This is what I was thinking.

Considering his minutes last year, Lee was probably really excited by the combination of Pierce/Terry leaving and Rondo's injury, only to be disappointed.

Pressey is FINALLY improving, but he still hasn't even approached Lee's level.  Rondo's injury was the perfect opportunity to give Lee tons of confidence, and instead Stevens is taking his confidence away.  Absolutely no way Pressey should be above Lee in the rotation, especially considering the fact that you can't play 4 PGs as your guard rotation once Rondo comes back.

Pressey is a PG.  His role is to bring the ball up the court, set up plays, and orchestrate the offense.  He comes in to back up that spot when Crawfowd sits.  Pressey to my knowledge has never come in to plat at the SG spot.

Lee is a SG.  His job is to come in and to score + defend.  This is a completely different role. Hecannot play PG as well as Pressey can, Pressey can't playSG as well as Lee can.  Treo totally different positions, so saying Pressey shouldn't be above Lee in the rotation is silly.

Boston only has one  true PG right now and that is Pressey, so it's only natural that then Crawford sits, Pressey will come in.

Now Lee is playing well so far, but is he playing better than Crawford? No.

How about Bradley?  He is an elite defender which exceptional athleticism who is currently averaging 14 points on 46% FG and 40% 3PT while leading the team I n scoring every second or third game lately.  He's also only 22 and has a world of upside.  So, do you play Lee over him? No.

Lee comes off the bench to back up Bradley, which is exactly what he should do.

Yesterday Lee was one of the earlier guys to come if the bench, but he was forcing (and bricking) shots and not doingmuch else, so they took him out and put Bradley back in, as he was playing very well.

Same happened with Crawford - he was chucking some bad Crawford-esque shots and giving up the ball via silly unforced turnovers, sohegot pulled early and Pressey got a chance.

Stevens plays guys who are playing well at the time, which should make guys here happy because everyone here used to bash on Doc for always playing the guys he liked, instead if the guys who were playing well.
