Trade Restriction
The following players selected in this scenario have restrictions which prevent them from being traded at this time. This may prevent the trade from occuring.

Players with Trade Restrictions

Paul Pierce from Brooklyn Nets
Pierce was recently traded from Boston and cannot be re-acquired by the Celtics this season. As a result this trade cannot continue.

Kevin Garnett from Brooklyn Nets
Garnett has a no trade clause which means he must agree to waive this for any trade to happen.

Kris Humphries from Boston Celtics
Humphries was recently traded from Brooklyn and cannot be re-acquired by the Nets this season. As a result this trade cannot continue.

Keith Bogans from Boston Celtics
Bogans was recently traded from Brooklyn and cannot be re-acquired by the Nets this season. As a result this trade cannot continue.

MarShon Brooks from Boston Celtics
Brooks was recently traded from Brooklyn and cannot be re-acquired by the Nets this season. As a result this trade cannot continue.

Anyone know why?

Players traded away cannot be reacquired by trade for one year.  Even if the Nets wanted to trade Pierce and KG back to us, they can't.

[dang] you feel bad for KG and Paul they been healthy these last couple years (except nagging injuries), but those were because they were forced to do too much with their key guys falling to injury. Rondo, D-Will, Brook Lopez. I wouldn't be mad at the Nets turning to crap over the next few years and us getting some nice picks for it but still feel bad for them they can't catch a break.

they can't even trade for Asik, I mean, what the heck can they even offer Houston? Pierce for Asik? KG would retire on the spot

Yeah, people were bringing it up on the Nets board but the sobering reality is there's no chance.

Tyshawn Taylor and Jason Terry for Omer Asik? Lol not happening.

I think the Nets will be better without Brook Lopez than they have been early this season after they move KG to the center position.

Well, so long as Kidd doesn't saddle KG with Reggie Evans or Andray Blatche as a fellow starting big. The Nets need Kirilenko to come back and start at PF. That new-look Nets team would still be a really good team. A playoff team. That increased quickness and activity defensively would do wonders for them.

Eh, I think you're being a little overly optimistic Who.

Deron has been injury-prone for awhile and no guarantee he stays healthy for long stretches of time, AK has been batting the worse back spasms of his career and has yet to play this season?, Garnett has taken two steps back so this isn't like Garnett playing center for Boston the past couple years.

I'm just not nearly as hopeful for this team.

I think we have the division wrapped up now. I don't see the Knicks passing us, they are totally dysfunctional and injury riddled themselves.

I just saw the news on ESPN so I don't know about the severity of injury or what source has declared it season-ending, but that seems like a long time. I know he has had multiple problems over the last few years but he has a full 4 months until the playoffs. Unless he sustained substantial damage, that time frame seems lengthy. I get they may be taking into account his history and thinking longterm (although they should go for broke this year). The risk was always health (and coaching), especially Lopez' and Williams' foot/ankle problems.

Regardless, sad news for the NBA. Too many major injuries that will alter the playoffs. I thought if healthy Chicago and Brooklyn could actually be playing in the ECF against each other.

I'm telling you, hook him up with some prostitutes, take photos, and threaten to tell his wife if he doesn't fake an injury or take a leave for 'personal reasons'

I'll withhold judgment on that til I see how much Chandler helps them.

The odds of the Atlantic being statistically the worst division of all time just went up a big notch, though.

i think as long as Deron is healthy they will still limp into the playoffs this year.  Buy stock in Andray Blatche.

The last time Lopez broke his foot, he was out for the season.  Foot injuries are no joke for basketball players.  You do everything with them, obviously.
