So Gerald has called out his teammates twice in less than 20 games.   I have seen improvement in team defense, ball movement and shot selection.  However no one has gone backwards more from preseason than Wallace.  I like his defense, rebounding and passing.  Gerald is shooting horrible percentages from 2 and 3 pt range.  Teams are sagging off him so he is now playing 20 odd minutes with little shots even attempted  ???.
He had the one game against Charlotte getting 17 pts besides that I'm starting to think bogans could give us more.
Injury? Anyone have an idea what Gerald is up to??
Paying the guy a lot of money to NOT take shots

Would you rather pay him a lot of money to take bad shots?

No shots?  How can he take NO shots?
Maybe when Crawford is going to take his 3-4 bad shots a game he can make the extra pass and let Wallace shoot it

That's not how chuckers operate.

Well, part of the reason he was benched in Washington was because he wouldn't stop taking 30-foot jumpers, apparently.

Speaking of chuckers how many shots per minute do Wallace and brooks average?
I understand brooks is currently in the nba because of his shooting but he does volume shoot

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I would MUCH rather have Crawford shooting than Wallace. I guess that JC may take a cpl of questionable shots, but I have a lot more confidence in him than Wallace from an offensive standpoint.

correct, he is now shooting nicely from2 and 3, earlier in year he was not

He's never been much of a jump shooter, and he's always looked to pass as often as shoot (but not score, those are different things).

Wallace cant shoot and now due to age cant finish inside. Still very quick on the floor to help out.

I don't ever remember him shooting poorly.  In the first 5 games he shot the same, 52% (11-21) and 5-10 from 3.  According to his game logs, he's kept that up consistently.

I'd guess the fact that he hasn't been getting to the line is a more likely reason for his poor FT percentage than injury or mental issues.

Except "bad shots" for Crawford are probably better than any shot Gerald Wallace would take.  Crawford makes a lot of difficult shots.  Gerald Wallace is just a poor jump shooter.
