And Olynyk is far from the sexiest guy in the league as Big Al claimed he was :)

The obvious comparison, and pipe dream, is Dirk. Imho, he needs infinite hours in the gym becoming one of the great shooters ever if he is to get there. It's not hard to imagine him getting better on d to be about what Dirk is, or to bulk up enough in the shoulders to be decent enough at the rim, on the boards and on fadeaways in the post. But its all about shooting. He will be as good a passer and dribbler. KO "just" needs to become a great shooter to be reach his potential.

No. Al had his post moves coming out of high school. Considering that is all that matters with Al, if a player doesn't base their game around the post, there is no point in comparing to Al.

To me the biggest difference is that AJ is a low post big and KO is a high post big.  I think KO needs more minutes but can't stay on the floor due to foul trouble.  And now, looks like he lost minutes in the rotation for good.  I think KO is making a bigger effort on the boards lately.  Has improved from an awful rebounder to an avg rebounder.

So, if I remember AJs game when he came into the league as compared to KO:

Rebounds - AJ over KO
Defense -  AJ = KO
Offense - AJ over KO
Passing - KO over AJ
Versatility - KO over AJ
Motor - KO over AJ
Getting to the line. - AJ over KO
FT% -  KO over AJ

Different players. KO is much smarter, better/willing passer with an outside shot. Big Al is a low post machine.

Like to note that KO will start to hit his outside shot better in the future. Rookies always seem to struggle with that at the beginning. Also if they have him lifting weights that really messes up your jump shot until your body gets used to your new body.

In terms of offense and rebounding I'd expect Sully to be closer to Al than Olynyk.

in my opinion that works to our advantage this year. KO is a good passing pig that works very very well with Sully.

Don't necessarily agree about the Motor comparison. Also, Al doesn't really get to the line very often.

Olynyk has more motor. When was the last time you seen a 7 footer run the court and finish in transition?

Then hustle back to get ready to defend without looking like they are dying?

I don't ever remember Jefferson doing this before. Don't even remember the last time he finished for a transition basket.

Agree, KO and AJ are not even close save in height.

I beg to differ.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

If you use transition play as the main measure of motor you'd come to the conclusion that the player on recent Celts teams with the highest motor was Chris Wilcox.

Transition baskrt plus running back on defense. Did wilcox do that?
