You got to give pressey credit tonight.

Like someoned mentioned, he wasnt scared. And gave the team a chip on its shoulders.

Those two counter layups were big. And momentum killers for the heat.

I was hoping a jump shot would fall for him tonight but it didnt. Im sure it will sooner or later.  He did almost everything else at a top level though. Still cant believe he wasnt even drafted.

his jump shot is cringe worthy at this point for me.

I think his shooting was a net negative. He took some horrible shots, and they were momentum killers for the Celtics. But he did a great job running the offense, and that really helped.

yes, by far his shooting is worse than Rondo
shoot selection is good but not accurate
if he can make it up he can be very useful

I don't think his shots look any worse than Rondo when he first started, and I don't think he shoots any worse that Bradley did at the start either.

I think his shooting form actually looks pretty decent.  When he shoots it doesn't look like a horrible brick, most of the shots are more or less on target and are just a tad soft or hard.

Everyone knows that Olynyk and Sully are pretty decent shooters who can hit the three, but combined they have shot something like 15% from three so far.

I think once he adjusts he'll be fine.  Rondo probably has some of the worst shooting form in the NBA but last year he still shot 50% from midrange, with practice  I think Pressey will be ok.

Pretty amazing stuff for a little fellow not even taken in the draft.

He did what he was supposed to,  make a difference,  boost his team,    Stop the Heats run.

Fearless drives and ball movement

Watching AB school Ray Allen at the end of the game,   Allen looked so old and slow......Crawfords shot at halt in LeBrons face draining a three .

This game was epic .

Seriously.

Pressey form is good. Not alot of herky jerky before release.  But i do notice when the ball rims out , its curling out at times. This means he is likely putting a rotation or something on it instead finishing through it.

Stevens im sure will help him figure it out. Maybe should also stop with the three and try the mid range first

Pressey will figure out how to score.  I doubt he'll ever be very efficient, but I think he'll be good enough to get by.

Pressey reminds me a lot of this dude

I love Pressey, I'd rather see a rookie missing his shots while playing with confidence and (almost) swagger than a rookie whose game is limited because he thinks too much.

Pressey must improve a lot on defense but his energy, his drives and his passing are great. I'm not worried about his shot, I think it will come in time, he is just getting acclimated to the "big" game.

I find his defense actually very good. He is stuck on his man like glue.

He does have his off moments during PnR or under the basket situations, but that has to do with his lack of size vs making bad plays

I am stunned by Pressey's speed on the court especially with the ball.  That alone is a sufficient foundation to build a NBA player.  He also appears to be smart and focused.  All good stuff.

The problem is that he is small.  He is going to have to get stronger.  I am not worried about his defense based on what I have seen so far.  I think it is more about refining execution on picks and things like that.

Bigger guards are going to try to post him up and in general out muscle him.  I think that is going to be something to watch.  Miami guards like to just sit out at the 3 pt line so that is why I think he didn't get exposed in that game.  Other teams are watching and will be more ready for him in the future.

for those who missed the game last night or want to see again what Pressey did

3:08 and 3:28 are golden moments of this clip. After miami got the basket and the crowed got going , pressey shut them up with a quick layup. Then Spolstra was digusted =D

Also love the many nice passes he made. Those hailmary lobs are so difficult to pull.

Pressey was a big reason we were able to stick around and have a chance to win last night.
