Imo yes. We have only seen 70 percent of what Pressey can do so far. At his best, we saw a glimpse how he picked apart the new york knicks a few weeks ago, ending with a terrific clutch end of the game basket.

He makes the simple plays, making lobs, finding cutters to the baskets, drive and kick out that would be refreshing to see out there. VS AB running it up to the offensive end and having Green and Wallace try to direct the plays

Either start Pressey over AB or end the Green/Wallace experiement , put one of them out there only and have AB and Pressey start/play together at the backcourt. A few times i saw this combo, i really liked the speed that was the result , resulting in alot of steals and transition baskets.

thoughts?

Not sure if he's ready yet; I didn't catch the four minutes he played in the opening game, but by most accounts, he seemed a little overwhelmed.  That said, thinking back to summer league, he's always started out fairly tepid: lackluster initial appearance, but he quickly proves his worth after some time.   He's a "slow start, quick adjustment" kind of guy.

After a few more games, I'd say it's time to throw him into the fire and see if he can handle it.

If he starts, Bradley should be the starting guard with Wallace shifted to the bench.

His level of success will probably rise dramatically if the opponents are either scrubs or playing with the level of effort/focus/gameplanning you typically see during exhibition games.

Pressey looked like an undrafted rookie against Toronto. He is in no position to be the starter

No -- I would give him regular backup PG minutes though.

I'd play him before Crawford, but I didn't see his play vs. Toronto, only Crawford's vs. Milwaukee (and prior to this season).  AB shouldn't be counted on for more than 30 minutes a game so he can play his aggressive defense without worrying about fouling out, and have the energy to be active on both the offense and defense.  It's the other 18 minutes that's the problem.

Not right away but I would start giving him more and more back up minutes for a few games and then I would start him.  Maybe give him three games to get his feet wet and then throw him into the fire.  He can't be worst the Bradley.

He can absolutely be worse than Bradley.  I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion--and I certainly know the stats won't back it up--but I actually think Avery Bradley has looked pretty good so far this season.

In my eyes, during the few stretches where the Celtics have looked good so far this season, Avery Bradley's defense and aggressiveness have been a major part of that.

Basically, yeah, I agree with this.  Ease him into handling more responsibility and then eventually have him start and see if it works.  He's the closest approximation to Rondo on the roster, so there's nothing to lose from seeing if it'll work -- especially since this season won't amount to anything.

Yeah, I think Bradley has gotten far too much criticism.

I think he has played reasonably well. His defense has been very good and his offense has been serviceable. A lot of the forced actions and bad plays offensively (some missed shots, some turnovers, bad decisions) have been down to his teammates lack of activity and unwillingness to make plays for themselves and others thereby forcing the PG (Bradley in this case) to force the action and Bradley simply isn't able to that.

His teammates are making him look bad. They need to step up and take more responsibility and stop treating Bradley like he is a playmaker and/or a scoring PG. They are asking too much of him.

At least one or two four runs every game.

He needs to get some regular minutes coming off the bench before he starts over AB. AB isn't a point guard, but he has a better feel for the flow of the NBA game then Pressey does right now.

AB's problem, right now
Can't finish
Can't shoot
he's young so there is still hope, though
