Such a Diva. But now that he's not a Laker Diva I hate him a lot lot less.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Meh, he said (regarding the Magic letting Tobias Harris wear the #12 jersey), "I just think that despite whatever happened, there was a lot of things that I did and that we did as a team, and that number (12, which Orlando allowed Tobias Harris to wear) was special down there...And I was a little bit upset about that."

Everyone wants their ex to think of them in a positive light.

It's not just the jersey thing that makes him look like a complete arse.  It's all the rest of the whining that he does in that interview.

This guy needs a therapist, or at least someone in his personal life, that he can vent to, instead of going public with all his belly aches.

To bring the ex gf thing one step further, what the whole interview sounds like to me is when you run into the ex of one of your good friends about a month or two after a really bad breakup. Everyone is putting their lives back together and everyone wants to sound positive and mature and not hold any grudges..

"...but seriously, they're gonna let Tobias Harris wear my number? I'm not a petty person but I thought what we had together MEANT SOMETHING. Whatever, I'm over it." - Dwight Howard, ex-girlfriend.

what the?

Orlando hates him now, of course his #12 will be open for use. Stop talking about Orlando. Man, this guy's ego is making him more and more hated. He needs to shut up and play.

6 billion fans? that's like 85-90% of the world's population LOL. Sarcasm or not, he is using the wrong number, especially if he thinks Cali + world's Lakers fans = 6 bil  ::)

If they hate, them let them hate, and watch the money pile up.

Pay no attention to the knuckleheads, Dwight.

The best part:

Quote
Harris, acquired by Orlando last season in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks, wears No. 12 as a tribute to a close friend who died from leukemia as a teenager, according to the Sentinel.

Wonder what he thought when he was teaming Jeremy Richardson, Justin Harper, Rafer Alston, Gilbert Arenas, Trevor Ariza, Doug Christie, or Maurice Evans in Orlando (they all wore 1 or 32).

Personally, I think Shaq and Penny meant more to the Magic than Dwight did (even if their stays were shorter).

I like the girlfriend analogy.  Only the girlfriend is somebody that wanted to marry Dwight, but instead Dwight strung her along, cheated on her, dumped her, but then is mad when he finds out his ex has started dating another guy, even though Dwight is already on his 2nd girlfriend since the breakup, and is now engaged!

“I can’t believe she moved on from me so quickly.  I thought I meant more to her than that.”

It doesn't sound like Dwight's over it, though.  It doesn't sound like Dwight's over anything.  Hey, even the NBA needs it's sensitive types, I guess.  It just doesn't seem like a good mind set for being a dominant professional athlete.

Thick skin seems like it's a requirement.

I swear DH needs a copy editor in his brain before he speaks.  He just makes his own issues 10x worse by complaining to the media.  Maybe instead of using the media to gripe about something, you should contact the Magic directly?

Of course a lot of the Magic fans / front office don't have much love left for you.  duh...but he did that to himself as well.  The Magic haven't retired his jersey, and as far as I know no one's jersey gets retired before the player retires himself right?  So what does he really have to complain about anyways?
