I have never seen him this lethargic. my guess is there's no Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce to put a foot up his ass.  we need this guy to play hard but he has been just mailing these games in.
I understand it's the preseason but this guy's whole game is off.  his shot selection sucks and that one slam a game ain't doing it for me!!!

The match reports I'm seeing indicate he is getting less and less bad over time. Also does anybody else remember how slowly he started last season? Even with KG and PP around.

First of all, a typography public service message:

On a less serious note, as much as I like Jeff, he looks uninterested, or, as you say, lethargic out there. He also seems to go left even when it's easier to go right, maybe it's what Coach is ordering, I don't know.

I hope it's just preseason mode and/or part of the collective learning process, but it's frustrating for us fans. We expect a lot from him, but he showed he can do a lot last year, so you have a point.

I see jeff doing a lot of team game play so far, not forcing his own offense.  He looked fine last night.  His turnaround jumper on the box WAS worthy like.  Both wallace and pierce didn't shoot well last night
its preseason

I can't believe my font was attacked. thank God I didn't mispell anything;D

Jeff Green plays in moods. he can be a beast when he wants too and at other times you hardly know he's on the floor. what I'm saying is, the Celtics can not afford for him to show up whenever he [dang] pleases!!!

Using a different font in a forum like this is akin to affecting an accent in real life. A deliberate attempt to stand out that is looked upon as obnoxious.

If you're using it for emphasis that's one thing, but defaulting to a bold alternate typeface is a clear cry of "pay attention to me". No different than All-caps in my view, though we don't have a rule against it like we do all caps posts.

I think too often people ascribe good and bad play to moods and motivation. Jeff Green is just a guy who's base level of play has never been as high as people have judged his talent or potential to be.

I'm starting to come around to the Jeff Green hater side. This preseason seems to be about finding units that can play up tempo and aggressive, move the ball well, defend well, and take high percentage shots.

Green is probably the best athlete on the team, and may be one of the best shooters as well. In spite of that, he hasn't looked for a second like he should be in the starting five.

Well, Fafnir did a great job explaining it from a netiquette standpoint. My take was strictly about design issues, Dan Gilbert flashbacks and a bit of humor.

but, seriously, ban comic sans

About Jeff Green, he's not LeBron, period. He doesn't need to be, though, he just needs to be the best player he can be, find his place and overcome the unreal expectations and the hate. We need a good system and good players to build a great team, not the other way around.
