He did that for 2 1/2 seasons straight before he came here. Why are you acting like Green has been a 8-10 PPG his whole career? When has he had enough time to prove anything? Sounds like you are completely biased and not giving his stint here a fair shake.
Jeff Green during his time in OKC was a terrible player. Well below average as a starter.
This is not really an arguable point . He was a power forward, and an atrocious defender, atrocious rebounder, and only average scorer.
I say this because in the grand scheme of the 'give Jeff a chance!' argument , his time in OKC is only a viable point if you highlight that it's not really worth talking about because his role was ill fitting , his position wrong, and his timing bad.
Danny Ainge, when acquiring him , bet that JG was misused, and that when given an honest chance at the. 3, he could do better. That is a viable point . He played a solid half season last year for us , it was the best basketball of his career.
I'm not saying don't be optimistic, I'm just saying....the whole, 'he was already a proven player when he got here' isn't really giving an honest look at Greens time in OKC .
