Rondo calls Brad Stevens "best friend"

I just picture a montage of them playing pickup hoops and connect four to the Queen song.

And at the end, Jordan Crawford leaps in:

Rondo: We are back!
Stevens: We are baaaaack! We're getting Bradley baaaack!
Crawford: And we're the 3 best friends that anybody could have. We're the 3 best friends that anyone could have, we're the 3 best friends that anyone can have and we'll never ever ever ever ever leave each other.

Then an awkward beat as Crawford shoots every ball in the gym at once.

Is it really surprising to anyone that Rondo may like Brad Stevens more than Doc, considering his relationship with Doc over the years?

Had no idea J-Craw is as awkward off the court as he is on it.  ;D

I thought they would hit it off - by all accounts, Coach Stevens is a basketball nerd. Rondo has always been praised as a high BBIQ guy. Seemed likely they mesh on a cerebral level - they probably have a lot of respect for each other intellectually. I think the advanced statistics approach Stevens was known for at Butler will resonate with Rondo. I think, as in any relationship, there will br bumps in the road but I like the foundation that's being built with those two.
