Yet another pro athlete with too much money and little brain.
Yeah, because addiction is always attributable to a lack of intelligence.

I don't think he meant little brain as in low IQ, I think it meant it more as in dumbass.

It's easy to blame the Kardashian thing and who knows, could be right.  But I'm wondering how much the aborted CP3 trade might have set this off.  Reportedly it messed Odom up pretty badly that the Lakers would trade him, and he hasn't been the same player since.  It's possible that he was already on a downward spiral but that was the public start of it.

Odom has been on drugs basically since he entered the league.  He at one point was one failed pot test away from like a season long ban.  It takes a lot of failed tests to get there.  Now sure there is a big difference between pot and crack, but sometimes when you get so used to getting high, you look for better highs, and people move on from pot to other drugs.

Yeah, I'm just speculating on whether the trade, if it really had a major negative impact on him, was what might've precipitated that shift.

Semi-related: RadarOnline has an NBA source (who knows how legit) who says Odom has actually been smoking OxyContin, not crack, which is why he hasn't been failing drug tests (since he has a valid script).  I've never heard of smoking Oxy before, I thought abusers mostly snorted it.

Dennis Rodman had this to say.....

“I don’t understand why he’s hiding in a hotel. You have a great life, you’re making so much money, you have a beautiful house, a beautiful family,” Rodman continued. “Don’t go backwards in life, especially when you worked so hard to get there.”

I think it's pretty clear Dennis needs help. This is not the Rodman I have come to know and love
