Funny.  I just saw Colangelo on NBATV the day before saying that Lebron/Melo won't be the best players in 2016, that it'll probably be Durant.

And the next day, Lebron takes a bow.

The bit about rest and strain on family is bunk.  He's about as healthy as they get.  And Kidd played for USA when his body creaked like the Tin Man...

Lebron won't play second fiddle; he'd rather not play.

Are you trying to say Durant is better than LeBron?

By 2016 Durant will be. Lebron might be scared of that

I saw Colangelo say that, "with all due respect to Lebron, Carmelo, and [I think] Bosh,..." that they wouldn't be the focus of the team in 2016, that it would probably be Durant as the best player.

Not my position (I don't care), Colangelo said it.

He really won't be.  You realize LeBron is just about to enter his prime right?  Right now he's rather far ahead of Durant and he will get better (as will Durant, but LeBron is an all time great).  He contributes in more ways and has become a real killer in close game situations.

Lebron is in his prime right now
In 2016 he'll be 31 going on 32. You really think he'll be in his prime at that age?

Yes.  Players are in their prime late 20's early 30's.

Even if someone was to argue LeBron only has a couple more "prime" years, he would still be better than Durant anyways (unless Durant could make an unforeseen leap past him, which I doubt) until past 2016.

Durant is the 2nd best player in the league right now, don't get me wrong.  I just think LeBron does everything better than Durant does except shoot jump shots.  The gap between the two players is substantial.
