If I'm detroit, I don't trade Drummond for Rondo either.
90% of the NBA fan base agrees. I mean the weird thing is that 100% of the NBA fan base watches the playoffs too and would have seen Rondo in his prime/best way more than Drummond as a rookie.
People here watch Rondo on an almost game by game basis and a large percentage of the posters thought that the Celts were a better team without him until the playoffs started. In fact many posters who watched the playoffs still didn't change their opinion. How much more astute about Rondo would you expect fans of other teams to be than his own fan base?
Again, that suits your own argument, but the rest of the world doesn't agree with Celtics fans version of Rondo.
Arguments are strong and true...only played with hall of famers, can't shoot, and is coming off a major knee injury.
I think it's fair for them to question his worth with only 2 years on his deal and known attitude, showing up for big games when he chooses etc...
Pistons fans are overrating Drummond of course but there is a league wide consensus from fans, the media and 'insiders' that Drummond is a better asset than Rondo.
I don't know what else to tell you.
I would like our fans to step back, take off the green glasses and be reasonable about what the rest of the NBA and NBA's educated fans feel about such a trade.
They've spoken. It's harsh but it's pretty much true.
