Houston has no income tax, WhaT'S Dwight thinking?

LA can offer 30 mil more with an extra year, but Houston has no income tax. Wouldn't this come out to pretty much equal in the amount of Money Dwight would receive ? Anyone have a breakdown of what money he would make ?

before tax its a 30 mill difference but after i think it still comes out to about 18-21 mill difference, with LA being able to pay about 20 mill more still.

but if it was all about winning, 20 mill is nothing.

I believe NBA players must file tax returns in all states they "work" in.  So the no state income tax, while significant, is a bit mitigated.  Any tax lawyers on this board?

its not $30 million more really, its like $3 million(maybe less) from annual % increase over the first 4 years, then a guarantied ~$30 million vs whatever he makes that 5th year.

based on info from this site http://www.tax-rates.org/income-tax-calculator/?action=preload&ref=embed_refer_taxbrackets

the state income tax for him looks to be well over $1 million per year. possibly more then the difference in the % increase LA can offer over the first 4 years.

so its possible he can potently(if he gets a max deal from Houston year 5) make more money in Houston.

also well he does have to pay for each state he plays in(plus once a year in Canada) we need to factor in him playing 6 road games a year with Houston(division opponents) as opposed to 3-6 varying by which year the Texas teams get the extra home game.
