I think it was pretty obvious that he'd be looking to get about that much / he would get paid that much. People are acting like he was obviously only going to get 8-10 million. Not that he deserves 15 mill, but no surprises here and he isn't that far off.

S &T.    Crash and Bass plus 1st Rd pick.   For Jefferson and change.   We sign Al for 12.5 5 years and a Paul Pierce Jersey.   Al gets to wear KG's number 5!

Good. I dont wan this blackhole on offense/defense back on the C's. I dont get the obsession with this players by C's fans. He's not a very good player. Very overrated.

I'm glad Al signed wit the Bobcats.  Anybody who would willingly sign with the Bobcats I would never want in a Celtics uniform again.

The pretty strange signing by Bobcats, but seemingly the kind of situation Big Al will spend his career in.  Nice cash in for Al.
Yup

This. I have zero interest in guys just going for cash that obviously don't care about winning.

What other teams were offering him a contact?

This is a career.  He needs to make money.

I know Charlotte stinks, but a) they're trying not to, and b) they do have MJ to make the sales pitch.

Its very easy to say other people should give up potentially 30% of his per year pay in order to "win". That's assuming other offers are on the table.

I heard Ben Gordon might be coming to Boston instead of Humphries, but what if it is instead of Wallace and the Bobcats are looking to get him back? That would be cool.

Understandable of this is his only offer, but free agency just started, hard to say where the chips would land.

Me personally I'd rather win and take less $ if that was an option, hell even the tree stooges (Miami) did it.

Them taking less still left them with far more lucractive contracts than Jefferson has ever recieved.

I doubt Jefferson would have agreed so quickly if there were other teams expressing any interest in signing him for around 14 million per year.
