Not 100% sure this works out $$$ wise.

Boston sends Wallace + Brooks + 2nd

to

Bucks for Gooden and Ekpe Udoh

The celtics take on Goodens bad contract but its less money and one year shorter then Wallaces. Udoh has enough length to play some Center and gets playing time in his contract year

The bucks are not trying to tank. They are reported to have a deal with OJ Mayo and are working on bringing Jennings back. Couple these two with Sanders at Center and Ilyasova at PF they are a SF away from a solid starting lineup. Wallaces skill set fits perfectly with these 4. Add a bench of Henson, Moute, Brooks and Wolter (he will be a steal) and this is a solid team.

No reason for the Bucks to take on the money. They already have Luc Mbah-a-Mute for a Wallace type SF/PF.

I like any trade that lessens the blow of Gerald Wallaces contract.

But power forward is our deepest position and this trade would bring us up to 7 if you include Olynyk.

TP

Reality is we won't keep both Wallace & Green but desperately need a Center.   Udoh fits the bill & still leaves us assets to go after a Milsap or Smith via s/t.  Fwiw I love Udoh's game.

Seems like a good all in move for Mil too, especially with Sanders coming up.

If we could get Milsap for Hump & firsts, i'd love our chances goin FW w/

Rondo
Bradley / Lee / Crawford
Green
Milsap / Bass / Gooden
Udoh / Sully / Olny

Gooden and Udoh are capable of playing C.

I think this is an excellent trade idea. It makes a lot of sense for both teams, and it benefits both ends. ESPN Trade Machine confirms that this deal works.

TP for a sensible suggestion.

Why would the Bucks want Wallace?

They could use some depth at the wing, and it's a huge plus if they could get a tough, experienced veteran who holds everyone accountable.

One thing to consider is that they are paying Gooden to just sit on the bench. Wallace would be starting for them at SF and putting up numbers. He was HORRIBLY used last season and was visibly unhappy on the court. I would expect a resurgence in him if he was starting on a young exciting Bucks team. I would expect at least 12pt 6rb type production from him.

Yea, not sure the Bucks would take Wallace's extra salary but theres no argument that he'll get on the court and at least do something.

They have a pretty glaring hole at SF.

I'd be happy with simply swapping Wallace for Gooden.

There is no way the Bucks do that trade.  They are close to signing Mayo for the 2G so Brooks doesn't even help them that much and taking on Wallace's contract means no way...

If Wallace plays up his value he might be tradeable.

But right now, nobody is willing to trade for Wallace. They'd be trading for our picks.
