If you're not using "you're," your grammar might be tanking.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

This philosophy makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit every time I read the earnestness with which people believe in it.

Better stock up on Pepto Bismol then because it's going to be a nauseating season for you.

No way is tanking happening with Rondo on the floor, as he has way too much to prove. Tanking never happened with PP on this team till he got injured, and that wasn't really tanking as the rest of the team wasn't very good. Tanking isn't a good word, but depending on how the season goes you use the young guys to gauge their progress, this isn't tanking.

Chad Ford: We know Suns, Bobcats, Sixers, Celtics & Magic will be REALLY bad. Sources say add Hawks to list. If they don't get DH12, likely to tank Twitter @chadfordinsider

So if we are one of the 6 worst teams, theres almost a 50/50 chance we could get a top 3 pick.  Tank baby Tank!

I still want to trade Rondo to Charlotte or Orlando and try to better our odds while making there's worse.  Say we trade Rondo for a young player plus a top 3 protected pick.  With Rondo, they would be less likely to get a top pick and we would be more likely.  There would be a good chance we could end up with a top 3 pick of our own and a pick in the 5-7 range from either Orlando or Charlotte.

Nicholson plus 2014 pick (top 3 protected)

or

Choose between MKG or Zeller plus 2014 pick (top 3 protected)

Thats roughly what New Orleans gave up for Jrue.

Because the alternative is bringing him off the bench as a defensive stopper.  He's 6'2, 180 pounds and offensively inept.  Very one-dimensional player whose main asset is his overly aggressive defense.  If he is a starter long-term, it's as a defensive role player slowing down opposing point guards.

AB is still not a point.  That's why we signed Pressey.
If our starting five is gonna be --
1 Pressey (Rondo after ASB)
2 Bradley
3 Green
4 Sullinger
5 Melo

We are gonna lose a LOT of games.  But that's cool since we're trying to land Wiggins anyways.

Let's keep it that way. I'd rather him be an offensive liability at one position rather than compromise the effectiveness of the entire team's offense.
You don't need an elite PG controlling the offense to be a champion.  If you have a LeBron or Kobe or an elite big, you have the ball go through them.  In 2008, the ball flowed through Paul Pierce and Rondo was just a role player who mainly just needed to play tough defense.

I like watching the beauty of an offense run by a great passer, but it's not as necessary as elite scoring and elite bigs.

I don't know how you got to that argument from my comment. But, to feed your trolling regardless, I'd like to point out that we don't have a facilitator at the other positions anyway. We don't have a Pierce. Put Bradley next to any possible combination of Celtics players not including Rondo, and there's absolutely no competent playmaking in that lineup.
You're right.  We don't have an elite scorer or an elite big.   That's why this team is in tank-mode.  We don't have the talent to compete.  It doesn't matter who plays point next year... our best case scenario is finishing at the bottom of the standings.  Long-term, I'm comfortable with Avery as our "PG by Default" as long as we have a dominant scorer and big man to carry the load.

Btw... where the heck did you come from?  You register for this forum a few weeks ago and already have close to 500 posts...  Odd timing.  Did you have a different screenname before?  I'm not giving you a hard time... I'm just legitimately curious.  What kind of fan avoids Celticsblog during the glory years and in the midst of blowing it up/tanking finally decides to come out of the woodworks.  Is it a therapeutic thing?   I thought if anything, people would be hopping off the bandwagon, but you seem to prove that wrong.  I guess the death of an era and 3-5 years of bottom-feeder basketball is just going to bring us all together... we'll all need shoulders to cry on during this process.  I wonder if there are other silent Celtic fans alone on an island looking for the comfort of internet forum debate.  Lurkers, show your faces... now is the time to come out of hiding and wear your green proudly!  We'll all need to pick each other up by the bootstraps and get get ready for the long winter.  I'm here for you rondoallaturca.  I'm here for you, brother.   You might end up regretting that screenname, though.

Trading Rondo so we can move up a couple spots on the draft board is absolutely foolish. As many people have said already, Wiggins isn't the prize in 2014. Plenty of others have that franchise changing potential.
