Are you sure Rondo does not move?

Honestly, I don't even think Humphries will be on the Opening Day roster. He's too talented to simply give DNPs to, and he has that awkward situation going on with Rondo if they were to share a locker room. At the very least, Boston would do well in swapping for another similar expiring contract such as Richard Jefferson. Boston could most certainly give DNPs to him to allow younger talent the opportunity to see the court (particularly Sully and Olynyk, and Jefferson provides a great veteran presence in the locker room to help nurture the players. Not to mention that GSW could actually use Humphries.

I think we could use Humph as much if not more than Golden State could.

And no thanks on Richard Jefferson. We already have Green and Wallace. Jefferson would serve literally no purpose.

Yeah. I think we got Joseph in the deal too. Would rather have the young hungry legs in case Wallace goes down. He was doing well in the D-League at one point. Like to see how he spent his year. Wonder if he will be able to play on the summer league team. Or does he have to play on Brooklyn's?

That's exactly the point. We definitely need a big who can rebound, but we have Sullinger, Olynyk, and Randolph already. By playing Humphries, we reduce the amount of playing opportunity for those three. It's essentially addition by subtraction. By taking Humphries out of the equation, there's a lot more opportunity to develop our young guys. Jefferson would be a constant DNP, and his value would come in a veteran locker room presence, something Humphries can't exactly be.
