ad infinitum. I don't think the rebuild will be as long as some people suggest however, I think we have a solid young core and multiple picks to work into a trade for a star or multiple players with any luck.

We can also pick up assets without having to take on a Gerald Wallace contract that automatically hampers us for at least three years.

Shouldn't have to wait. They don't wait in San Antonio. And they haven't waited in LA until Jim Buss made a mess of the DH12 situation.

The fact we're out of relevancy for at least five years is an indictment of Ainge and Wyc. You end up waiting when your team's management screws up.

The Spurs waited the entire time they were in the league until they got Duncan to get a player that would lead them to a title and he's still there. The chances of them immediately replacing Duncan with another superstar are much lower than you realize, although we'll see soon enough if they're still contending for titles after Duncan and Manu retire.

As long as it takes to do it right. It might take a few years (and some luck), but this team needs a shake up as it really isnt built to contend right now.

Clear the old crew out. Build through the draft. Acquire assets.

Oooops. Never mind. I thought this thread was about how long it was taking the forums to load tonight.

Better be patient.  Unless Sullinger turns into an all star it's going to be awhile.  Most interesting thing I heard tonight was Mike Gorman's assessment - which I agree with - that Rondo needs to play better.

Is he really a franchise player?  Reading between the lines I'm wondering whether he'll still be here in 2 years.
