There's probably a 70% chance we trade Pierce, right?

If that Cavs offer is on the table, it's going to be hard to pass it up.  Even if it just nets us a 2nd rounder, that trade exception could net us Josh Smith... or at the very least it will get us closer to a tank job.

My guess is Danny pulls the trigger on the Cavs offer sometime between picks 1-14 unless someone outbids the Cavs.

Also told wildcard... we could see Rondo traded if Danny covets someone (like Noel) and the draft plays out the right way.  I could only see a Rondo trade if some team was willing to get rid of a top pick for a guy with a torn ACL... but Nerlens Noel has a torn ACL too... so it might be realistic for a team to say, "We'd rather have busted Rondo than busted Noel"... and it would really help build a foundation for a proper tanking.

Expand it to the whole league.  Think we'll see Cousins traded?  Think the Cavs will give up the #1 to someone?  What's your predictions.

I see a lot of a mock drafts saying were taking Schroeder? If no moves is that what it's looking like, Rondo w/ a jumpshot?

Would you say tanking is more art or science?

Most wildest possible prediction:

Rondo goes to Charlotte for Kemba Walker and Victor Oladipo.

Danny trades Paul Pierce to Cleveland for #19 and the 2 seconds. We select Ricky Ledo and a for some reason plummeting Tony Mitchell at #31. Glen Rice Jr at 33.

Danny trades Paul Pierce TPE and Kevin Garnett to Atlanta for a sign and traded Josh Smith and picks 17 and 18. We select Jamaal Franklin and that Greek guy.

We select Steven Hunter at 16.

I don't think the last part would be possible, would it?  Free agents can't sign until next month, I thought... so we could get the TPE, but couldn't actually get Smith during the draft.  Also... getting Smith and losing Rondo seems counterproductive.  You either go in one direction or the other.

Im sorry, I thought you said, 'crazy draft prediction', not 'realistic draft prediction'.

Ok this is all kinds of awesome.   Enjoy today, folks.  It's like Christmas for us bottom-of-the-barrel Lotto squads.   Anything can happen.  Let's see what presents we unwrap.

Well, I always get excited at the unknown.

I'd LOVE and HATE it if we somehow traded with ORL to get Noel and ended up giving up Rondo.

Yeah Noel is only 19.  Rondo is already 27.  If Noel panned out to be an allstar caliber big man, it would be a no-brainer trad.e  We're rebuilding... unlikely to be a playoff team again for 3-5 years.  At that point, I'd rather have allstar big man Nerlens Noel in his early 20s... than former allstar point guard Rajon Rondo in his early 30s.

Celtics trade PP and KG to Brooklyn for Humpries, 3 late round 1st, and take and Wallaces 3 year contract. Yhat would be just plain crazy.

The reports are that the Cavs want Sergey Karasev and don't think he will be around at #19, so I wouldn't be shocked if the Cavs are working on Pierce and #16 for #19, two seconds, and maybe a 2014 second, contingent upon Karasev still being there at 16.  They've also been reported as talking to the Mavs for that purpose, so it probably depends on how the draft is going.

A lot of these draft day negotiations are contingencies, based on who may or may not be available at a certain slot.

I personally dont get the karasev hype. The guy is a 6'7 sf that is slow . cavs can have them. Id love to get the 19 and 33 to do this favor for cavs
