I do think we'll miss Doc Rivers, a good coach who was excellent at managing egos, and who players seemed to genuinely enjoy playing for. The latter part was nice when trying to pick up free agents on veteran-min/MLE/LLE deals, where the dollars are basically the same.
Figure a guy like Jason Terry, we all regret the signing but at the time he probably could have gotten the same $$ from a several other teams but chose to come here - playing for Doc Rivers helps in that regard. But, we're not likely to be major players in free agency anytime soon, so it's less of a concern that Doc is elsewhere.
What I'm scared to death of, though?... the prospect of Rondo having to adjust to playing for a new coach.
