Soooo, who else is gonna buy a discounted Pierce/KG jersey once the trades go down?

I've been wanting a real KG jersey for a while, so me.

she said the rondo rivers almost fight happend 2YEARS AGO, Not last year

I figured that...that was when tensions were really high. Who ever "leaked" that Saturday was probably making preparation for the decision on Sunday.

Yeah interesting bits so far:

Rondo Doc fight was 2 years ago, not recent

Clippers (as expected) were the aggressors on the whole Doc deal.  I'm sure they were working the media over.  Jackie makes it sound like Doc was really getting prepped to coach the Celtics after the deal fell through.

She also talked about how the Clips should have traded for Doc for the price, then waited on KG and would have had no issue with the league.  Boy the Clips sure are dumb.

She also just said she doesn't see KG retiring even without Doc.  Still left a deal as a possibility of course.

Seems to me as if the C's could have dictated that more 'legal' order of business as well.  I'm sure the Clips dragged the C's down, but the C's let them take them there.

I don't know... when the reports are out there the reports are out there.

I have thought all along that part of the Clips plan was leaking info so Doc almost had to leave the Celtics.  And they are in such a rush to secure Paul, they wanted to land KG and Doc all at once.

Who knows exactly what was said behind the scenes but the Clips management clearly bungled it... and is that surprising?  As Jackie said "typical Clippers".

She says well be selling Rondo and he's going to be on everything as expected unsure how Rondos gonna handle the situation...

I can see it. There are die hard PP and KG fans, but Rondo wasn't doing too bad in the popularity department (especially outside of Boston). If you here fans of other teams, they're always talking about how they hate Rondo, but love watching him play.

Why Barf at ainge as coach?  He has the 25th best winning percentage as a coach of all time.  (Doc is 48th)
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

According to Jackie Denver will name their coach today or tomorrow and it's Hollins or Shaw so he might not be available.

I don't think they like Del Negro.  And I really HOPE they don't.

But the thing is this is almost certainly a stop gap coach.  Hence why I am fine with Lawrence Frank.  He can get guys to play some D.

As for Ainge, it seems like he is a capable coach. I think it would be weird for him to do both but if he could manage it that wouldn't be a bad choice at all.  Not barf worthy.

Agreed. And a Rondo jersey if that comes to pass.

If I had to bet on who would be the coach next year I'd say Lawrence Frank, and I like that choice as a stop gap coach.

I don't. I really dislike Lawrence Frank. I would much rather prefer Brian Shaw.

Now there's a name I haven't often. Nate McMillan would be a great coach for the price (which I assume would be at a low, since he hasn't worked since the Trail Blazers tuned him out).

He's runs such a slow paced offense though.  I really think we need to turn up the tempo with this younger core.

The interest that Ainge supposedly has in VDN is reportedly because Ainge wants the Celtics to play more up-tempo on offense.

If Ainge hired Vinny, I'm prepared to back Rondo if he feels like punching Del Negro in the face because VDN will probably deserve it if it happens.

I love up tempo ball but the guy literally doesn't even run a play or any type of set.  That's too much for me.
