They'll be favored but if they don't get a more reliable BIG then Bosh I don't see them getting out of the East. Chicago and Indiana should only get better and their size attacks Miamis big weakness.

If Indiana will keep the same roster and will sign a great PG like CP3, Indiana can  beat HEAT for sure. Indys almost beat HEAT. Maybe and Chicago can be better next season and Brooklyn if they fire Kidd and get a great coach

Salary cap, meet eugen.
Eugen, meet salary cap.

Yes salary cap. Indys are gona trade Granger.

To whom, and for what?

If Indy flips Granger for a reliable PG watch out. Miami due to Bosh being so freaking soft really struggled with West and Hibbert.  Miami won because they pressured the ball and Indy didn't have  a reliable ball handler. If they can find one they can beat Miami provided Miami cannot get a banger to replace Bosh.

Bosh is soft and overrated, doesn't rebound much and never defended very well.

Sure, but what team is going to trade a point guard that's better than George Hill for Danny Granger?

CP3 is free agent.

Hill is a shooter but not a very good ball handler.  There are plenty of PG s with a better handle then Hill.  Eric Bledsoe?

They almost lost to an over the hill Spurs team. Miami got lucky in game 6 with Allens 3, and Spurs played bad in the 4th in game 7. The C's the season before with only at best 7 players almost had them.

They've had the breaks. If Indy can get one more key piece and with one more year under they're belts they are going to be good. OKC should be back, Westbrooks injury messed things up. And who knows about the Clips. if they added PP and KG they be in high considerations.

Miami is just on borrowed time. Wade is just about done. Miller and Allen, who knows.

They could still win it, but this year was tough, next should be even tougher...

I know that. That's why I asked who would want Danny Granger instead, as the dude just came off of a year of DNP-my knees are shot.

Yes. Yes he is. So where is Danny Granger being traded to?

Even if they can't flip Granger they have other movable pieces.  They are also a young team that should only get better. They almost beat Miami this year.

Miami could very likely have peaked. Wade isn't going to get better and could likely deteriorate even more. His knees are shot. Bosh hasn't improved in years. LBJ can't play any  better then he just did yet it was just barely good enough. SA handed them game six and the title.  Their supporting cast is ancient and will need to be reworked.  I just don't see them being even as good next season.  If they don't get more quality size they are going to have great difficulty getting out of the East.

Miami was huge favorites in the ECF and the Finals yet they just barely got through  both. I just don't see then as invincible by any means.

I actually thought that the Pacers were closer to beating Miami last year, and they're definitely a good  team, but I just can't see them vaulting past Miami as currently constructed.

I don't see Miami getting out of the East let alone 3-peating as currently constituted.  Indiana and SA showed that they are beatable. Shoot SA had a 5 point lead with 20 seconds left in game 6 and then handed Miami the game and title. Even Heat fans gave up on them and left the building.

To each his own. We will know in a year who was right.

Just follow the Lakers scenario.

07-08 Lakers lost to Boston in 6 games
08-09 Lakers easily bypass Orlando in 5 games
09-10 Lakers narrowly escaped a dogfight against Boston in 7 games.

Next three seasons, they get bounced in the second round and get swept.

10-11 Miami lost to Dallas in 6 games
11-12 Miami destroyed the OKC Thunder in 5 games
12-13 Miami narrowly escaped a dogfight against San Antonio in 7 games.

Miami will get swept in the second round next season  ;)

It's funny I posted that on my FB before the game yesterday!

I think a lot depends on Wade.  He's definitely on the decline and very prone to injury.  I think he's the guy that puts them over the top.  LeBron didn't have much support in CLE and he still made it to the finals twice.  I know everyone likes to poke fun at Bosh (as do I) but objectively he is a very good player.  Stats don't mean anything for him because he gets no touches in MIA with LBJ and DW3.

LAC - CP3 PP KG BG (or DH) could take them!
