we give our 2 vets a good chance on winning
we let our coach walk and give him a chance on winning as well
we get young and athletic
we shed 2 expensive contracts which sets up moving another terry and possibly 2 more, lee and bass
if pierce isn't here  :'(  it means no minutes are taken from jeff green or a sg
extra money we can go after free agent(s), many players WANT to play with rondo
our projected starting team is very good defensively
will need to work on bench
adding draft picks can only help with trades or drafting guys who can help

What a funny title for a thread.

We are gonna suck   hugely ....

Gonna make the Wizards and Bobcats playoff teams....might as well ....we just handed the Clippers a NBA championship pieces coach  and assistances

heck we might as well include the playbook and weightroom equipment ....

lets sell the banners on eBay and  close Garden and be done.

Thanks Danny for not putting that rascal Rivers behind the TV booth where he belongs for a ful THREE years.

And Doc thanks for running out and lying out your hind end

Great list 2short - TP

This is just one step. KG will be retired in two years max. If not, he's 39 and Jordan is 26 and on an expiring contract.

It's also possible that based on whatever progress they've seen with melo, they might feel that he in fact will be ready to be our starter in two years. Therefore, Jordan is a stop gap. He's also a gamble that may develop further in a different system and could be a valuable trade asset as an expiring contract - Melo steps in to start. if Jordan develops further and it makes sense, he stays... options.

Bottom line, if you told me I had to start my rebuilding process with:

Jordan / Melo / Shavlik
Sullinger / Bass
Jeff Green
Bradley / Lee
Rondo / TWill
* The possibility of trading Lee, Terry and bass for additional assets

* Three first round picks

* A lot of cap within 1-2 years

I'd say "great, let's get started!"

Almost seems like you don't like Doc Rivers.

Anyway, I think you describe nicely why it's a good move.  If teams move below us in the 2014 draft -- great!  And if the Clips win next year and become the toast of LA for a while -- that's great too!  It's possible that KG retires after next year bursting the Clips bubble a bit -- maybe making the future 1st we get more valuabe -- also great.

Not sure why they'd need to sell banners on e-bay and close the Garden since the rebuild will be well on its way, but that would be great too -- I'd love to bid on a banner!

The NBA will save us from our stupidity!!!!!!

What is a better starting lineup?

Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullenger, and Deandre Jordan
                         or
Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullenger, and Shavlik Randolph

Both have Lee, Terry, Shavlik Randolph, and Terrence Williams coming off the Bench.

Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce and KG have all are assumed to have checked out at this point and we can clear their salaries from the books and start over again.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I am really confused, isn't it a good thing to stink if we are going to tank for the 2014 draft?  What trade right now would allow us to compete for a title next year?  Isn't that why Doc is leaving?
