I've stated my opinion on Ainge here multiple times. I'd rather not restate it here, because: 1) It seems to be a moot point, as a discussion in favor of either side will eventually be driven by speculation, and 2) It's not my intention to create a thread arguing over his departure, as that has been discussed elsewhere...

I'm just curious to know if, in the event Ainge was terminated, what the pool of candidates would look like. I admittedly know very little about front office business, and I'm sure many folks here do... are there individuals that are prime for a GM position? Former GMs? Or green, new faces with potential? With all that is going on, I am just curious to know what the landscape looks like and, additionally, if any one has information and/or opinions regarding current or up-and-coming GM candidates around the league.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
If Danny Ainge was fired, then I would want the best available GM at the time.

Which would be....

Danny Ainge.
I like Marcus Smart

Honestly, probably most of us just don't feel that DA will be fired.  He has done a good to great job as the GM.  We have enough chaos right now.  I would just hope we don't turn into Sacramento / Denver and just start firing gm's and coaches for no reason.  Wait that includes Memphis too.

Stability is part of what helps build a championship club.
