Since when are the Clippers even contenders?

If they are than we are. At least we suffered massive injuroes this year.

What's their excuse Vinnie del Negro?

for rivers to coach now, they would have to give up a ton of stuff,  DA isn't letting the clips get Glen for FREE.........it will cost them dearly.......I would want Blake Griffen to release rivers. .....not kidding....I would take clips to cleaners .......or let Rivers wait out his contract ......

I would be ruthless in getting the most out of Rivers.

It's a great way to rebuild......No  scrub draft picks .......take their stars. or wait a couple years.......

Clips NEEd.  Rivers bad.....or else they lose CP3 to Houston or Dallas or somewhere else.

I 'd make clippers bend over to get Rivers.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Stop whining. He's given us 9 years of his life. Even if KG didnt go, Doc can go whete he wants if he's not happy or just plain burnt out with our organization.

Furthermore, there isnt a lick of evidence to any of these rumors and stories and people have thrown doc under the bus already.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

Some young studs for some veteran players that stay hurt and will not be in the league in 3 years. Throw in a coach that can only coaches players that someone else develops.....Bye Doc.

Well the Clips would be sure to lose CP3 if they trade away the only other star player on the team for Doc Rivers and two guys on the brink of retirement...

Not sure how doc could seriously consider leaving the celtics for the la clippers????? I mean I know they have some talent currently but c'mon!!! They've had talent before at times and they lose. They're the clippers! They have always lost! In the nba in my 30 something years they have never won. They r essentially historically the worst team in the league. Doc played there - they lost. I mean seriously? The clippers vs the Boston celtics?? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. is he thinking??
If he does this - good riddance !
and good luck because the clippers will always lose!

A person in the know told me tonight that Doc Rivers ending up with the Clippers is "gaining momentum".

Maybe Doc has a beautiful black body and wants an owner who appreciates that more.

I find the Doc bashing a bit odd.  I have no doubt that if Danny's goal is to blow it up and rebuild, that he'll want to be really bad next year.  I'm sure he'd be happy if Doc stayed with Garnett and PIerce for a couple more years in a different city, then perhaps returned to the Celtics a few years later, or not, depending on who's out there on the coaching scene...

Danny's not some idiot GM who after 9 years is going to whine about a veteran coach moving on, especially if he and Doc have different views on next year.  Ainge is a former player who himself burned out on coaching rather quickly.  These guys are good friends.

If Doc leaves and ends up, for example, in L.A., I'm sure it will be an amicable parting between he and Ainge.

That's good enough for me.

On the second part we agree 100%.

But Doc can`t go where he wants. He signed a 5y contract. He told (the C`s fan) that he`ll stay to rebuild and for the 9 years in Boston he got a pretty big paycheck. He didn`t any favours.

I can`t get why the organization is disrespectful when shops around it`s assets but the players/coaches can leave whenever they want just because it suits them.
