I'd sign him up right away if I where the Nets.

This blows my mind:

Last season, Kidd could've been backing up Deron Williams if D-Will had come to DAL.  Now, there's a possibility that Kidd becomes D-Will's coach!

What a turn of events!

it might be exactly what Derron Williams needs. He sucked last year, and I don't see it ending well for him if he tries to do to Kidd what he did to Sloan.

A little soon for him to be a head coach I think.

Gotta be an assistant somewhere for a while at least, right?

I think Kidd has all the characteristics required to make an excellent head coach.

A good decision for Brooklyn if they do it.

Kidd, Nash, and Billups are definitely high on my list of guys I think will some day make great coaches.

Thing is, if they make Kidd their HC they need to be patient with him because they can't expect him to be a great coach from day 1, even if he is already 40.

The Nets are kind of in win-now mode so that's kind of a tough situation for a guy with no prior coaching experience.

He's not going to be a head coach any time soon and I don't think he expects that, but give him some time to learn the ropes and he could be great.

agreed Nash Billups and Kidd would all make great coaches in this league once they are done. I also believe Parker and Duncan would make pretty good coaches once their times are up as well

how long did Bill Russell or Tom Heinson train before being a head coach? They did pretty well.

Awesome. Totally awesome.

I was dissappointed that the Nets took all these steps to give them this very hip, very cool image, and then filled their salary space with the unspectacular Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace. The anti-cool.

Jason Kidd kind of reverses that.

Wow the Nets are really ready to hand Kidd the keys to a 2nd round level play-off team. This is so stupid it might work, lol. I hope he gets the job.

I never could've imagined reading Gerald Wallace described as "unspectacular" before this season. Crash used to be so much fun.
