An "unconfirmed rumor" suggests that the Kings have offered Isaiah Thomas to the Cavaliers for the No. 19 pick, according to Bob Finnan of the News-Herald.
Skeptical readers can stop reading after the phrase "unconfirmed rumor." Thomas, who will earn $884k next season, led the Kings last year in true shooting percentage, assist percentage, offensive rating and win shares, per basketball-reference.com. This year's draft has been widely derided as lacking in talent, which makes it even less likely that Sacto would deal IT2 for a mediocre pick.

Isiah Thomas is not worth a first round pick.

So great deal for Sacramento if they pull it off.

Also, it makes you think about just how little value the Celtics' #16 pick has in the trade market if Isiah Thomas is the barometer for a the #19 pick.

Boston's pick is going to carry very little weight in trades. Disappointing.

Yes he is worth a first round pick in a weak draft.

Makes them feel a bit better about trading Cousins for a PG stud, as they can use 19 on a center like Dieng.

Yea not entirely sure I agree with that. Thomas is worth a 1st in this draft IMO

Isiah Thomas is a great kid and a heck of a basketball player.  I highly doubt this is true.  Chase Budinger was traded for the 18th pick last year.

huh.  Do you think the 19th pick in the draft is going to average 14 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds with a true shooting percentage of 57.4% in just under 27 minutes a game?

Isaiah Thomas is likely better than this Shane Larkin kid people have talked about, and probably more productive than Dennis Schroeder is likely to be.

So I'd be okay with a trade of #16 for Thomas as long as the Kings send us a decent (unprotected) 2nd rounder, too.  If it could involve a larger trade for Jason Thompson (say, for Lee or Bass), all the better.

Actually, getting Isaiah Thomas and Jason Thompson plus a 2nd round pick for the #16 and Bass or Lee would be pretty fantastic, in my opinion.

If he's on a crap team, then yeah.

I want no part of Thompson.  The guy isn't worth the money he's getting paid, and he's just not a very good player at all.  At least Bass and Lee are serviceable.

I'm pretty sure if Thomas goes to a good team he'll still be a productive player.

Like Nate Robinson, the main question there is whether a better team would be willing to deal with the defensive issues that you get having a tiny point guard like that.

Man, this thread... if we somehow managed to get both Isaiah Thomas AND Jason Thompson, I'd be so happy. They're two great players and they're the two most valuable players on the Kings (DMC is boring).

I would give up Bradley and Bass for those two and a second rounder, if that's what it took. That would be a great deal.

Thompson can play both PF and C credibly with legit size for both positions, meaning he has much more value to this team than Bass.  I have no doubt Thompson would look fine once you put him on a well coached team that actually values defense and team play.
