Sounds like they are even willing to give up a 1st rounder to trade him. Would you do Pierce for Bargniani and a 1st?

He's the type of big man that fits our offense well, being able to hit the 3 and stretch the floor. He had his struggles last year, but he's talented and big.

I want absolutely nothing to do with a 7 footer who thinks he is a shooting guard and is allergic to the paint.

Bargnani would be a disaster in Boston. No way I give up Pierce for him. I don't even think I would give up Bass/Terry

Exactly. They wouldn't trade for Pierce to keep him, they would do it to unload Bargniani's contract and save $$$ when they cut Pierce. If they are also willing to give us a 1st rounder too then I'd think about it.

Of course, Pierce signs with a contender after he's cut, everyone is happy.

I would. Bass/Terry for Bargnani/Ross. Forget the pick.

Bargs' salary is 11 next year and 12 the year after.  Given Boston won't have cap space during those two years for anything more than a MLE type player (at best) then I could see the C's trying to go after him.

Bargs, Amir Johnson, Aaron Gray, Terrence Ross

for

Bass, Terry, Lee
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Danny: Kevin, Im sorry to tel you, but we had to move Paul

Kevin: What!? Paul is my dude! Whatever, I guess I'm just going to have to be a pro and suck it up. Who did you get coming back to Boston?

Danny: Andrea Bargnani

Kevin: .......

Danny: Kevin? You there?

That's exactly why I could see it happening too. If we can grab him for that package AND get Ross too, that would be a steal for the celtics.

Yeah I'd be good with that trade too if we were getting Ross. A young guy that can get out and run and jump out of the gym. He's a good shooter too, needs to work a little harder, but Rondo will get him his shots.

Bargniani is a good shooter, not sure why he dropped off last year, but maybe he can get it back together if he came. He'd work well with Rondo as well.

Not sure they give up Amir, but hey, if they are willing!

Still rather get Milsap or Smith for that trade package, but its likely not to happen..

I'd be open to Bass/Terry for Bargs and a pick. He had a crappy year last year, no question. But he has shown he can be a capable scorer in this league. I think he could benefit from a change of scenery.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Yeah. Don't think they'll do that trade with Amir Johnson and Ross. A trade like this seems more realistic to me.

Realistically, Bass plus one of our guards for Bargnani seems likely. I think it's fair because they get a battle tested vet in Bass and get to dumb Bargnani.

I'd do it. Seems like a move that can potentially put us over the top by adding that one key piece we're missing (that everyone is talking about and that I agree). In my opinion it'd either have to be a free agent S&T with the free agent forcing his way or a buy low sell high move with some risk involved, just like this move.

All jokes aside, I would have to begrudgingly accept this deal. Too much talent coming back to say no despite how much I hate Bargs.
