I hate to say it but I don't know how anyone could not think that Miami is going to win the finals this year.

Steve Kerr had 4 rings in a row 96-99.

Not a big deal. LeBron should go for 5. Only then he will beat Kerr.

ha! great point. totally forgot about the kerr dynasty. forget it then. no motivation for LeBron. if he can only claim the same as Steve Kerr there's no point.  ;D

If Lebron is going to base his greatness on consecutive championships, that means he won't ever come close to the greatness of Sam Jones....8 straight rings and 10 in 11 years.

Scoreboard Alert: Players who wear Celtic Green, usually hold all the consecutive pro team championship records. Hehehehehe.

I think the Heat are bound to win a title this year too.

Remember 2008, the Lakers lost to the Celtics. Then the Lakers won 2009 and 2010.

The Heat lost in 2011 to Dallas. Then they made it to the Eastern Conference finals as well and won 2012, and now fighting for 2013.

I see that similar pattern!!!  :(

i don't see this happening. as great as miami is they are a flawed team. the pacers should be up 2-0 right now but lost due to one play. if they had a legit point guard i dont think it would even be a series. throw size at miami and they cant handle it until they get legit big men. if teams start structuring their teams to play miamis game then i can believe it. if the thunder can stay healthy next year and make a few tweaks to their lineup i think they will win it. i can see them making the finals 3 more times but i dont think lebron has it to win 4 in a row.

Miami is not a flawed team.  If they do actually close this out and win the title they will go down as one of the greatest teams in NBA history.

A 3-peat is in order. Lebron makes fringe starters and role players look like all-stars (e.g., as of this morning, Cole and Anderson are the best players in the NBA).

Agreed, Miami isn't really a flawed team, but they do have weaknesses like all teams do.

The amazing thing about Miami is they have not been able to win by means of the 3 point shot, which they have largely relied upon in the regular season (top 5 team in attempts and top 2 team in terms of percentages).

In these 2013 playoffs, the Heat have been largely ineffective from the 3 point line and it really makes things scarier what will happen if they start to connect from distance.

Let's let him win his second before assuming he is going for 4 in a row.

And as this seems a good place to bring it up, I was talking with my bro and wondered out loud, if Lebron goes to the Finals and loses to either SA or Memphis, how much does that hurt his legacy and chances to become the best ever?

If he loses in the Finals this year that would be 4 Finals and 1 win.

That doesn't sound very MJ-like or Russell-like!

however if you watched that series and did not just look up the stats like any other guy we shoulda won that series in 2010.
