The guy is unlucky. He was promised to have a great NBA career.
Now he thinks he has the right to con a franchise for a 10 to 12Mil 4 years contract to be the cheerleader.
I won't blame him to try. Hopefully he goes to Miami.

If he's willing to take a vet. min or at least MLE, I would be more than welcome to sign him if I were Danny.

Greg Oden's future:
if he signs with Boston: looks great in camp long enough to get a contract and tie up a roster spot then becomes injured before Thanksgiving.  Never plays again for the length of the deal

If he signs with MIami: looks great, stays healthy for the length of the deal and makes the all-star team each year of the contract.

I can't believe he hasn't played since 2009.  I can't imagine he'll be any good if he does come back.

Exactly, we are talking NBA level here with 82 games + playoffs. No way he will perform well. If he push too much he'll get injured again.

He's completely worth the risk, IMO. Just make sure you sign that one extra big incase he does get hurt.

I look at it this way...if you sign Oden, he gives you one good year of production, then gets hurt after, but that one good year includes a strong run and maybe a championship...it's worth it. Right?

If he takes the vet min I give him a chance... But he won't so I don't think it's worth the risk. And if he does settle for the vet min I wouldn't see why he would head to Miami.

I've always been a fan of his, I hope he succeeds and finally stays healthy (unless he goes to Miami).

I would love to see him in Boston. I think if KG and Pierce end up staying a year of Oden playing with the hall of fame vets we have could do him wonders.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'd give him a one-year Full-MLE contract (team option on the 2nd year).  He either pans out, or not.

If youre gonna do that you want to make it 3 years with team options/partial guarantees so you get bird rights. Remembet Steimsma?

Greg Oden is attempting to return to the NBA after not playing since 2009.

Oden has received interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat, amongst other teams.

Deshaun Thomas, who attended Ohio State like Oden, said on Thursday that the two have been working out.

"Man, he looks unbelievable," he said at the draft combine. "He's running. He's lifting weights. You might be seeing a comeback. He looks like he's ready to go. He's running, getting in shape. I'll tell you one thing. For a big 7-footer that's all he does, running and getting in shape. He's looking right."

So, has Deshaun Thomas announced that he's signing with Mike Conley Sr. yet?
