Alright I need someone who understands the cap a little more then i do. Is it possible to Re-structure KG and Paul's contracts? If so could we go all in and trade guys like Bass and Lee and get under the cap to make a move to grab someone elite? Just wondering I know its a shot in the dark but idk how KG expects to improve the roster without having to take less money.

It is not possible.  In theory, I believe you can waive Pierce by June 30 to avoid paying the unguaranteed parts of his contract and resign him using a salary cap exception (you lose his Bird rights).

The main move that can be done is to dump enough salary to be able to use the full MLE rather than the mini-MLE for luxury tax-paying teams.

That stinks. The celts are at a serious cross roads. I wish we could keep Pierce and KG and get someone who could really help like Big Al Or Dwight. I know pipe dreams but thats what we need in order to compete with these guys. I don't wanna see KG or Pierce playing for another team. Come on Danny pull something out of your you know what and stopping laying eggs.
