Bill Simmons predicted today that a trade will go down between Sac and Was involving Cousins.  Rumor has been going on for a while, since Wall and Cousins used to be teammates back in college and have a good relationship outside of the court

On the flipside John Wall being a FA , might mean a sign and trade to Sac

Either scenerios, possible trades

1) To Was: Cousins, Patterson
To Sac: 2013 1st (6-8), 2014 1st, Seraphin or Vesely, Okafor

Sac prob wants to pry off Beal, but i doubt washington even blinks.

2) To Sac: Wall (sign and trade)
To Was: 2013 1st (4-6), Tyreke Evans , Jimmer Fredette or Tony Douglas

Would either teams improve either way?

John Wall would make a great figure for the Seattle Sonics next season!! Lol.

I wish we could get DeMarcus Cousins.

Wall+Cousins is a top-6 playoff team. Warriors of the east, possibly.

John Wall has been sneaky good.  As Simmons pointed out in his trade value column (where Wall was ranked 11 spots higher than Rondo at #25):  His last 21 games: 24.3 PPG, 8.3 APG, 5.0 RPG, 47-37-79

He's only 22 years old.   Kid has potential to improve and he's improving.  Sure, it was a contract year and he wants max, but it's true.

I see ZERO chance that Sonics keep Cousins this Summer.  As I've said before, there are a lot of people out here in Seattle who are still bitter about the NBA and have made themselves feel better by telling themselves the league is filled with primadonna punks and thugs.  Cousins absolutely isn't the guy you want as the face of the franchise when you're trying to win over the Seattle fans on the fence.  He's way too unpredictable.  No chance they keep him.

Not sure how up-to-date you guys are on the Seattle/SacTown situation, but Kings-As-Sonics is hardly a done deal. ::)

I think it's pretty much a done deal... my impression of the situation is that they are dragging it out as long as possible so "Seattle steals team from Sacramento" doesn't overshadow the playoffs.  There's a binding agreement... i expect it to be official as soon as the offseason hits.

I would love it if we could get Demarcus Cousins.

Celtics:
Demarcus Cousins
John Salmons (amnesty)
Wolves 2nd pick 2013

Kings:
Derrick Williams
Fab Melo
Marshon Brooks
Celtics 1st pick 2014
Celtics 1st pick 2016
Celtics 2nd pick 2014
Celtics 2nd pick 2015
Other Team 2nd pick

Wolves:
Courtney Lee
Jordan Crawford

Nets:
Brandon Bass
Celtics 2nd pick 2016

Other Team:
Mirza Teletovic

I know we would be giving up a lot of draft picks but i think Demarcus Cousins is worth it. Also, it would free up some cap space. If this happens and Kevin Garnett retires, i think we would have enough cap space to sign Josh Smith. This has nothing to do with Cousins but i think if this trade happens, we could draft a guard with our pick this year. I really like Kentavious Caldwell-pope and think he is going to be a starter in the NBA.
A core of Rondo, Caldwell-pope, Green, Smith, Cousins, Bradley, and Sullinger looks really good and could eventually contend.

You know what they say! It's not a done deal until proven otherwise. Nowhere has anyone or anything stated that it's close to happening. It could go either way at this point!

in my opinion, 2nd round picks are worthless. Also, Demarcus Cousins would be our future.

Then why don't we trade all of them for a Jason Collins guy? At least he does something.  :P

They're not worthless.

you're right but the chances of finding a starter or a good back-up in the 2nd round of the draft are very low.
There's maybe 1 or 2 good 2nd round picks each draft.
