I did this last year and forgot to do so before the playoffs started.  Also, since the Bucks are down 3-0, I didn't include them as I can't see them winning 4 straight against the Heat.  Also, just as I did last year, I specifically excluded that team out west as no one should be voting for them on this board.

Last year I voted for the Heat just so I wouldn't have to hear about it this year (and generally I think it was much better till they had that long win streak).  This year I voted for the Pacers.

Voted Spurs.

If I had to choose an East team, I'd go Chicago.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
I'll do you one better and rank them all.

1. Warriors
2. Rockets
3. Knicks (sue me)
4. Thunder (looking less likely now)
5. Clippers
6. Spurs
7. Nuggets
8. Pacers
9. Grizzlies
10. Bulls
11. Heat
12. Hawks
13. Nets

I hate the Heat more than the Hawks or Nets, but those teams are also unlikable (except for Horford) and messed up to boot that I don't think they deserve to win.

When we are out, I am out.....

I don't care who wins if it's not us, I would prefer that it not be a rival like LA or MIA though.

I don't have much interest in who wins if the Celts don't unless there's some strategic value in a certain team losing. If I had voted I might have gone with the Rockets, not because I like the players or the Rockets but because thinking of them winning reminds me of Rudy T's great "Never underestimate the heart of a champion" speech.

That's not really the point of the poll question now though, is it?

I voted the Thunder. For me Kevin Durant has become the "good guy" in relation to LeBron as the "villain" so if we can't win I'd like to see Durant keep pace in terms of accomplishments, plus it'd be a great series watching them face off.

If it had to be someone from the East I'd go with Chicago, if only to see if D-Rose would try to come back for the finals.

Had to go with the Nuggets, they are actually an interesting team with no media darlings. I have to respect what they've built and would love to see them take out the "superstars" of the league.

It has to be the Spurs. Were it not for Rick Pitino, Timmy D would have been a Celtic all these years.

(Don't ask me to explain how that is true - I just KNOW it.)
