Agree. I would be high ashamed to wear it even at home.

Really? Why? (to both/either of you)

War is a last-resort measure. Also, the nuclear bombs that ruined Hiroshima and Nagasaki - so many women and children were killed there... I don't really see it as offensive as I do tasteless, I guess. Definitely not humorous. War isn't really something that is funny

Is that what you inferred from my brief reply? You like to deal in extremes, hm? A small quip here or there is okay, but in-your-face tasteless humor exemplified by that shirt simply isn't funny. That is all.

I saw it as a over the top tribute to those that fought for the United States, rather than laughing in the face of those that died opposing them.

No, your 'war is a last resort measure' comment made me think that you believed all wars above jocular commentary. I'm not prone to extremism anywhere besides my doritos.

So the choices are funny or offensive.

Some things can be both.

This is neither.

It's just stupid.

How about all the people Hitler didn't get around to exterminating? Would you consider them to be winners in that war? And how does allowing him to continue what he was doing with nobody trying to stop him fit with your pacifism?

A what?

Personally, I could care less what others wear. I don't care if people walk out decked as the head of The KKK. Most anything you do or wear will offend someone. I also want to say that if you choose something really offensive (not that shirt, to me), be sure you're ready for the people who don't like it, those who might harm you. People are easily offended these days  ::).

Does this shirt really have any connection to the KKK or Hitler? I'm fine with people wearing it, I just would never wear it myself.

Well, I can't say much to that because in an ideal world Hitler never would have started the war. Of course someone had to stop him, but at a high cost too...

Is there really a need to advertise the killing of over 100 million people, plus tens of millions of more wounded? They can wear what they want, but I ain't supportin' nothin'.

I don't like it and wouldn't wear it but I personally do not find it offensive. I could see a shirt like that being worn a lot in the States after Olympic events or July 4th celebrations and people having a good laugh over wearing them.

My guess is there are segments of American society that would find it offensive.

I also would never wear that outside of America. It not only helps to support the obnoxious, overbearing, uncouth, "cowboy" stereotype of Americans that pervade this world outside of America, but also rubs other people's noses in the fact we may have defeated their country or killed an ancestor of theirs in a war. Probably not a good idea.

I don't think it's that funny but I don't have a problem with it.
