One strength of Rondo that really is undervalued is his ball handling. One of the best in the league.

Rondo really was built for playoff basketball, where the game slows down and mistakes are more dire. The Rondo/KG pick and roll was key - Pierce does a good job, but Rondo does a far better one.

Our offense completely broke down. I really did wish one of our players would recklessly drive to the paint, but whatever. With Rondo, his slashing would trigger an in and out game and easier looks for Terry and Pierce.

Knicks defense looks elite to me. 2nd half, at least. Kidd is still very good.

"We are better without Rondo,"  "Rondo made us worse,"  "We are better without Rondo."

All Rondo haters, do you miss him yet?

That's why I never understood the entire "Better without Rondo" movement that lasted all but a month. Yeah he has some things that he can improve on, but his skills are really valued right now, especially his ball handling and dribble penetration. If you can't score in a half-court you're SCREWED in the playoffs.

He was our BEST player.  There's no doubt about that.  And yea, I'm saying it.  THIS IS RONDO's TEAM.

What a very underrated player, even by the Celtics fans.

Man, this game would have been won and in the bag with Rondo in it.

If Rondo was healthy and KG had a torn ACL, the Knicks would be averaging 120+ ppg against us this series.

This team needs to rebuild around bradley rondo and green

They are just too old and play like they are in cement

Another thing -

Without Rondo, there is more ball movement. Yeah, this is true. But what's better: Tons of ball movement that results in a mediocre - average look, or very little ball movement that results in an average - good look?

Tha Rondo haters may be converting tonight. Today's game showed us and tha team that they miss Rondo. Too many turnovers and careless passes. There is more ball movement without him but to say this team is better without him is ridiculous. Dead it.

This team also missed Sully. Tha extra possessions for tha Knicks off of offensive boards towards tha end played a part in this loss.

I still don't miss Rondo. Who i actually miss right now is Ray. If we had Ray instead of Terry we would have won this game.

When Rondo got injured, offense, good looks (for others), assist, and rebrounds also went out of the window.  That is a lot.

With how bad KG played tonight, we would've been fine without him but with Rondo.  KG is the most important player on the team but this is Rondo's team now and going forward.  Even KG and Paul passed that tourch long time ago

If Rondo is the best player on the C's, that means the C's lack talent and are in pretty bad shape. Rondo cannot/should not be the best player on any team that has title aspirations.

Disagree. Did you see what happened whenever KG went to the bench?? The Knicks get on fire and make a comeback. It's not a coincidence. KG helps our defense soo much.

The Celtics are never fine without KG. never.

We do miss Rondo for the simple reason that playoff basketball is all about making the right play, give the [dang]ed ball to your superstar and get the hell out of the way...

Rondo is an absolute gamechanger, plays his ass off in the playoffs and can make life easy for guys like KG, PP AB and Green so yeah...We could beat the Knicks if we had Rondo...Ain't so easy though without him.
