Melo is playing very poor offensively in how he is attacking Bass. It's his bad play that is allowing Bass to survive defensively.

I'm starting to see Doc's philosophy of putting Bass on Melo paying dividends. Bass isn't an offensive weapon. Never will be. Let him guard Melo one on one, if Melo scores, fine but at least Pierce and Green can concentrate on scoring and not wear themselves down playing D on Melo.
If Bass can check Melo, the C's are GOLDEN.

I've been very hard on Bass this year, but I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing right now. He seems sold on playing defense right now.

Bass is doing a good job. Having said that, if I'm Anthony, I drive and attack.

  • You say when......
Smith is always a scoring problem...Bradley is weak as pg...Shav would do better on chandler....

We all knew Doc would not make a rebounder part of the playoff rotation.
well, when bass needs a break.....or kg....shav is going to have to play....Wilcox can break out..but he mostly disappears....

Great Half by the C's. They're doing a masterful job on Melo.

Good first half. Tight game. Going to be a close hard fought series.

I was a little worried about Bass guarding Melo but he's done a good job.

I don't have the numbers but I feel like the C's have done a good job on the boards. No offensive boards, obviously, but not allowing ones to the Knicks, either.
