Our players are human beings.  How could they not be motivated by this tragedy?  To represent the city?

Not saying where that takes us whatsoever... but I can't see how this isn't something extra to think about and carry when you put on that Celtics uniform.

Totally agree. It's not like this happened somewhere else and the players sympathize, but don't have to deal with it anymore. This happened in their city, and it's close to home for some like Jeff and Doc who lived downtown just blocks from it. The C's organization is affected personally, because some of the front office had loved ones that were injured. So yeah, that's something to really think about when you're representing the city nationally.

If that video doesn't get you hyped for the Playoff's then its a lost cause trying to convince you otherwise.

If the Celtics have to use this tragedy to motivate themselves, then things are already lost. In the past, this team got up for the playoffs because it was the playoffs. They shouldn't need yesterday's events to get the juices flowing.

i understand what ur saying here, but i disagree with it wholeheartedly.  how can the bombings not provide EXTRA motivation the team?! the celts will represent the city. when your leader is pierce, who has been here since day 1, and kg who "gets it', their motivation will be infectious!

the only concern would be if they are overly motivated and make careless mistakes bc they are trying so hard
