Forgive me if this has already been posted; but I was waiting to see if the league would do anything to upgrade Wall's blatant and dangerous hit on Shavlick. How is that allowed in this league. They really need to look at who gets calls and who does not. No excuse.

So if you hit the ball you can do anything?

Shav , isn't going to get the respect / calls ...... remember "SULLY" ,  he was absolutley abused and ignored by the refs while he was beat like a drum under the rim.

Shav is feeling Sully's pain.

It's a fair point. Blindside tackling an airborn player seems like it ought to earn a flagrant-2, although watching the replay you can make the argument that while there is a lot of recklessness there isn't obvious malice. Wall doesn't wrap Randolph up or hit him in the head. He merely throws his body into him at a dangerous angle, endangering both of their careers in the process.

I feel it could have been upgraded to a flagrant two just for retaliation purposes. A fine, suspension, or throw out really isnt necessary though I guess.

Maybe not a 2 but clearly a classless foul by Wall. If you watch the replay from the play before, Shav just stood his ground and did nothing wrong on the defensive end. Wall was obviously p---ed and took it out of Shav. I didn't like the forearm push off ether after the hard foul.

Here's my take on this:

(1) Some players in the league get away with this, but it is a small group.

(2) Danny Ainge knows this, and knows that you need one or more of "these players" on your team to consistently win.

(3) Compile a list of these players. These are Danny Ainge's ultimate targets to create a "New, New Big Three" (though there may be intermediate moves).

I know my points 1-3 above might seem a bit off topic, but they're not. The point is: this is how the league works. I hate it, but that's how it is. Given that these are the "rules of the game", which players can we get that help us win, given these rules?

I don't see the hit as a big deal. And if it was Rondo who did it I'd probably stand up for him. So I'm fine with what Wall did.

I can see arguments both ways .

Given Wall is a house hold name and star power "BIAS" in NBA, and SHAV is basically a "WHO DAT" nobody to 99% of the world  .......  I suppose the flagrant "1" was  actually pretty good "GIFT" from the NBA elite refs.

FLAG 1 was all Shav was getting  ....under the STERN regime  ;D

So yeah , I think he did good all said and done.

Ok, tommy. Slow down.  I think the problem was that Wall jumped early and was much higher in the air when Randolph jumped.  Shouldn't be more than a flagrant 1.

Don't forget the push after the contact that insured he went down.
