Who knows if the Celtics can win a series, maybe they can, maybe not,  I just get humored watching KG getting under Noahs skin and Pierce talking trash to Deng and his sidekick Carlos .....

great stuff. ;D

Hurry back KG  !!!

No. I actually think we match up better with Miami than we do with Chicago.

As good as Miami is (and yes they are good) I think the Celtics have what it takes to make them crumble (not saying it's going to happen.)

Chicago is a whole different beast. Unlike Miami, they play as a team and they are very good defensively. Also, they have plenty of size and plenty of good outside shooters.

The Celts do not match well at all with Chicago.

Miami doesn't play as a team and aren't very good defensively? HUH?

Except Noah equally gets under kgs skin and deng defends pierce as well as anyone in the league. Our advantage against Chicago minus rose (and even in the past with him) is rondo...cool story though

Miami play as a team... maybe, they play like Team USA in London: get past your defender and kick it to an open shooter. That's because they have very good drivers, and they aren't called for travel or pushing their defenders.

On D, though, Miami plays hard. Give them credit, they play probably the best perimeter D in the League, and they force turnovers like mad men. It helps also being Stern's golden boys, but even without the refs, they would be the best at that. Inside D is not very good, but there's not a lot of teams who can punish them in the painted area.

But the Chicago Bulls are just another level of toughness. Spoelstra, just like Doc, is a Riley guy, so they put a lot on D, but Thibs is something else. His team plays tough D from the starters to the 12th man, they destroy you inside and press you outside, with or without the refs. They force you to play 48 minutes of basketball (just like the Celtics) and they have a tough frontcourt (Noah, Gibson, Boozer, Deng...). It's no coincidence that since 2009, the team that knocks out Chicago loses their next playoff battle. Celtics in 2009, Cavs in 2010, Heat in 2011 and Philly (although a different case because of Rose going down) in 2012 sent the Bulls fishing and then they were knocked out.

I wouldn't want no part of Chicago until the ECF, but we're getting the 7th seed and we'll have our hands full with the Knicks and then the Pacers. If we survive, it doesn't matter, but if the Heat eliminate the Bulls in round 2, we will have a chance to keep the Bulls streak.

I should probably re-phrase what I meant. Miami does both however alot of their play goes through Lebron, who is their go to guy.

The point I was making is Chicago plays with a more of a collective effort. Also, though Miami is very good defensively, I think Chicago is definitely better in that regard.

You can't trust a team that was essentially down 50 in the early third quarter, against the Sacramento Kings. Sorry, but defense isn't good enough, as shown last year :(
