Nobody.  The messiah is officiated by his own rulebook.

He'd be hard to guard and impossible to contain even if he played under the same rule as his peers.

How does Kawhi Leonard manage against LeBron?

Edit: Not great apparently.

Are you kidding me? One game, and that's the game when he had no backup except what, James Anderson? (restgate) Totally unfair comparison. Sample size way too small to make c onclusions.

Joe Dumars did okay against Jordan until Michael grew up and learned when he HAD to use his teammates. Lebron has made that maturation, when to pass, when to shoot, when it's okay to take a good three pointer, when he should post up... he's figured it out. It's going to be a long 6-7 years for the NBA. I wouldn't be surprised if Durant joined Stockton, Malone, Barkley, and Ewing in that crew of "yea i'm a legendary player but i played during an era where I had no chance."

I would have to say Iggy, Jeff Green and maybe Josh Smith are what I consider that best.  That doesn't mean those 3 have any chance at stopping him though.

Tony Allen is too small and not strong enough.  PP used to be able to D him up well, but that was 2-3 years ago.

Green has done well in the games I have seen.  Iggy has the skills to do better than most, and so does Josh Smith.  The truth is really that there isn't a dominant wing or power forward that has both the d-skills and the size and athleticism to stop him.

You have to do it by committee and home that wade and bosh don't kill you.

Jeff Green. Dead serious i think he can guard him better than anyone else in the league. He has more strength, height, and athleticism than any other candidate and we will see that come playoffs.

TA  -- too small
PP  -- used to be able to contain, not any more
JG  -- as good as anyone at containing him, which isn't saying much

Who could shut Jordan down when he was in his prime? No one, really. Same with James. You beat Lebron's team, like you beat Jordan's team, by letting him get his 30 or 40 and winning all the other match ups.

It's what the Celtics did with Chamberlin, back in the day. Russell couldn't stop Wilt from scoring, but he could make him work *hard* for every point while the rest of his team beat the rest of Wilt's team.
i agree with the shut down everyone else thing but Jordan made way more difficult shots than Lebron way more often so he was a much tougher cover.

last year game 6 we shut down everyone but lebron killed the team scoring 40+points, if you shutdown everyone and let lebron score more, that also a problem

Did you watch Bosh kill us or greatly step up in the playoffs from the C position?

He cannot do that 7 games in a row. The problem was we could have won game 7, but didn't because our own offense failed.

Sure, but when you're talking about LeBron James, the natural baseline is him beasting on everyone. So if in one game the other guy can't really stop him from doing that, you probably don't need a comprehensive study.

I remember one guy who did it pretty well, but he is not in the list.

Where is Rondo?  ;D

To guard LeBron - is a team work, few players should share this work during the game, he is too big for one.
