For a lot of people:

Isiah Thomas
Isaiah Thomas

Funny, eh? Isaiah was even booed at his MSG debut. I feel bad for him, having to go through that. He didn't even have a choice, which reminds me of the parents who named their kid "@"...

Marcus Morris
Markieff Morris

And who likes it when they look the same and play on the same team? ;D
Twins should not be allowed to have the same facial hair. At least the lopez boys keep the hair different.

This is kind of unrelated, but I have to share a conversation I had with my girlfriend a couple days ago...

i was building my fantasy team for the week and jokingly asked her if I should go with Tristan Thompson or Larry Sanders (knowing full well she doesn't know squat about basketball)

She responds:  "Larry Sanders is a terrible name"...

I says: "yeah... it's like a cross between Larry David and... uh... Sanders... you know... Sanders... what's the dude's name who also had a show on HBO?"

Her: "... yeah I know who you are talking about...i can't think of his name"

Me:  "Something Sanders... hold on... (checks google)... Larry Sanders! Yeah... It's like a cross between Larry David and Larry Sanders... "

20 second pause for it to sink in what I had just said...

Me:  "Wait... no... it's just like Larry Sanders"

And that, my friends, is my biggest "idiot" moment for the month.

There was of course Jason Williams, Jayson Williams and Jay Williams (who was really Jason).  But they were all such distinct characters it was easy to remember who was who.

I don't think I can do this

Kareem Abdul Jabbar of UCLA and Karim Abdul Jabbar of UCLA...and they both wore #33.

Oh wow. If wiki is to believed ...In 1998, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar filed a lawsuit against Karim, stating that there were too many similarities between the two. In the lawsuit, Kareem listed that they both attended UCLA and both wore the #33. He felt that Karim was making profits and sponging off the name and number he made famous in the 1970s. He won a court order that required Karim to drop the "Abdul-Jabbar" name off his jersey. In addition, all Dolphins jerseys with the "Abdul-Jabbar" name and #33 were immediately pulled from the shelves and merchandising catalogs. Karim complied and had his name changed to simply 'Abdul'. Karim maintains that he chose the #33 as his uniform number not because of Kareem, but because of former Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Dorsett. After the lawsuit, he changed his name to Abdul-Karim al-Jabbar in 2000
