KG is an amazing player, especially for his age.

However, I don't think fan voting is a good indicator of greatness.  It has more to do with popularity and name recognition than anything else.
Exactly.  Fans voted Yao Ming in as a starter in a season he hadn't even played a game in.

Same thing with Grant Hill in 2001, when he played a total of 4 games that season.
